However, he can also utilize them for other, less violent purposes, such as keeping people warm so long as they don't get too close to him or as a light source for when it gets too dark to see.

Fire Punch, Vol. 1 by Tatsuki Fujimoto | Waterstones

Fire Punch unique, and are why I rate it a 6, but you have to decide that for yourself. Many people try to ascribe a lot of different themes to this manga, themes that I don’t necessarily agree with. On its face, it’s wholly nihilistic, depressing, and little room for redemption, but that can be what draws you to it. Tena begs him to not go after Judah and stay Agni for her, Oia and Lanou. When he hear this request, Agni reminisces about his past with Luna and the promise he made to her. He then declares to Tena he's not Agni but Fire Punch. After assaulting her, he's been cast into Doma's flames again by her son, Oia. Agni becomes both in image and spirit Fire Punch. His true entrance is at the end of chapter 45. As Agni thinks about the trauma and pain he had to endure throughout the years, he imagines his sister asking him to kill Doma for her. Upon hearing her request to be Fire Punch, Agni disfigures his face and becomes Fire Punch. The difficult part for me with respect to the nihilism, and gradual recision of Agni’s character was that, I really enjoy stories with strong protagonists, one’s that I can identify with, or at least, can identify with their motives and reasons for being. Here, while the story is fantastical and, one can argue, damn near impossible to relate to much of anything going on, for much of the later story I couldn’t fathom, or even remotely understand, what the characters were doing. Or perhaps worse, how they got to thinking what they did and acting how they did with respect to the story prior, and that’s Fujimoto’s fault for the lightening fast pacing. a b "Fire Punch, Vol. 8". One of Charizard's fists becomes surrounded by red-yellow flames and it punches the opponent with it. Inflicts damage on the target. It may also afflict the targeted enemy with a Burn status condition. It thaws out frozen Pokémon. Fire Punch (Japanese: ほのおのパンチ Flame Punch) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation I. Engulfed by the flames, Agni finds that he's unable to die because of his own Blessing; surrounded by the blazing houses and charred bodies of everyone he knows, Agni just wishes he could die so this pain would end. However, while reminiscing about his family, a dying Luna shuffles towards him and, just before her body is reduced to ash, utters her final word: “ Live”.

The main issue with the characters is that they never truly have the time allocated to develop. The problem is not that the characters are bad but a lot of them show potential which is never realised upon. The main characters struggle could be the only exeption to this and he is by all means quite interesting.Medicham holds out its fist and its hand turns red. Its hand bursts into flames and then punches the opponent. Agni grew up with his younger sister, Luna, and his parents until a group of men broke into their home and murdered his mother and father to be used as food and kindling for the fire. Hundreds of years later, Luna remains in the tree as the branches spread out to ever more distant stars. Millennia pass, and she wonders to herself if she will be trapped there forever. She watches the Earth below her destroyed by an asteroid. Millions of years later, when the universe is now dead, Sun joins her there, and although they do not remember each other, they embrace and then fall asleep.
