About this deal

Those who didn't make it through the street wars were Arta Dobroshi's Floriana (her last-minute double crossing of the Wallaces earned her a bullet in the head) and Koba (Waleed Zuaiter), Afridi's enforcer. Koba stepped on too many wrong shoes and met his fate via a poisoned chip shop patty. This awards them what Shannon wanted, power, status and most importantly freedom from underneath anyone's boot heels, especially the Wallaces. The first season is currently available to stream on NOW with a NOW Entertainment Membership in the UK, and on AMC+ in the US, which is available as an add-on to Prime Video. Gangs of London season 2 plot It took two years for Gangs of London season two to be released following the first season. The large-scale production and cinematic quality undoubtedly played a massive part in the long wait. Sean, with his last few gasping breaths attempts to manipulate Elliot by telling him that his father would be proud and it kind of works.Koba (Waleed Zuaiter) is a brutal ruler who wants complete control of London's drug trade. (Image credit: Christopher Raphael / Sky / AMC) How will Alex (Paapa Essiedu) cope without Finn Wallace around? (Image credit: Luke Varley / Sky / AMC) The only looming question we have is whether Joe Cole will return as Sean Wallace; Elliot shot him in the cheek under instruction from The Investors, and we later overheard from police chatter that Sean was dead.

So here’s where season two leaves us and what it might mean for season three. The Gangs: who’s left? The first season transported us to a version of London that was ruled by a group of international gangs. When the head of one of the city's most influential families was assassinated, his youngest son, Finn Wallace (Joe Cole) jumped at the chance to arrest control over the growing power struggle. Season 2, on the other hand, has made the mistake of doubling down on all the ridiculous and sub par elements of character writing and plot, asking us to turn off our brains to the point of drooling lobotomy, whilst offering almost none of the rewards of excellent fights/shootouts, editing, creative camerawork and crazy conspiracy cheese of the previous season. As instructed, Sean arrives at the location, a seemingly abandoned junkyard. He drags Koba's lifeless body out, offered as proof that the deed is done. Elliot (Sope Dirisu) is clearly going to get into plenty more trouble working for The Investors. (Image credit: Sky Atlantic ) He tells Sean that killing is not enough, instead he intends to take everything Sean has strived for and claim it as his own. Elliot approaches the table and space is made for him in between the Dumanis.

Marian reveals that not only did she double-cross Sean by stealing his drug shipment but that it is her duplicitous actions that have helped to put Billy in danger. She insists she was trying to protect them both from the alliance Sean had made with Koba but this doesn't wash with him. Billy’s got one arm, Sean is in prison, having been left hanging, perched on a car tire by Elliot. It’s not clear what he’s in for – his crimes are many, but what he’ll have admitted to is another matter. He certainly poisoned Koba whose body is there at the scene. So for now, Sean’s out of the running, but he’s such a huge part of the show we can’t imagine him not having a big part to play in season 3. Will he wheedle his way out? Will he form a new faction in prison? Or will he find that he suddenly has to grow humility from behind bars where he’s no longer the big man?Doubt it… The Allegiances Asif Afridi has been pushed out of chief position as the head of the all London gangs, while Lale was betrayed by lover Sean and handed over to Mr Afridi to meet her death.Elliot is not the only one who's out for revenge. Koba (Waleed Zuaiter) means to kill Saba (Jahz Armando) for helping Elliot in his foiled assassination attempt of him and Sean. Elliot sees that same vision of his father again, a pleading look on his face urging him to do better and so he does. Just. That will certainly be a big question in season three. Who is working with who and who will come out on top?
