This time I’m going to be taking a look at one of Voopoo’s latest additions to their Argus range of devices the Argus GT II. You can buy the T-GT II without the Gran Turismo licensed steering wheel, and instead opt for a different Thrustmaster wheel. There are a range of different steering wheels including a few Ferrari Formula 1 replicas. The GT DD Pro (Gran Turismo DD Pro) is the PlayStation compatible version of the CSL DD. It was launched just before Gran Turismo 7 and originally came with a Gran Turismo branded steering wheel. This high-powered motor provides the velocity required to generate remarkably dynamic and powerful effects. Thanks to its velocity, the motor also transmits faster and stronger responses to racers in real time, enhanced by Thrustmaster’s proprietary T-LIN technology.

This is a fairly good tank, I am impressed with the flavour and vapour production I get from it. I’ve never seen an airflow operated with a slider before so I give credit to Voopoo for coming up with something new, at least to me! That leads us to recommend one product over the other. And if we add up the wins from each category, we can see that Fanatec wins out. Other than the steering wheel, which I prefer on the Thrustmaster wheel, Fanatec outperforms or offers more options than Thrustmaster. While the TX and T300RS racing wheels were Thrustmaster’s mid-range wheel, both the TMX and T150 sat underneath these products as Thrustmaster’s budget racing wheels. Much like the TX and T300RS, the TMX is Xbox and PC compatible only, and the T150 is designed to be PlayStation and PC compatible. Below are a selection of Assetto Corsa Competizione car setups which are optimised for both PC and console. However it is a very airy tank it makes some strange noises in use lol. When restricted to almost closed, the airflow gives off a whistle like effect and fully open it sounds like the Gruffalo would after a long run lol. Next, I’ll look at Fanatec’s Gran Turismo steering wheel, and this is normally an area where the German sim racing brand excels. This steering wheel was however designed by Polyphony Digital to look like a Gran Turismo wheel. The GT II device has a zinc alloy and leather construction with rubber highlights top and bottom, it’s also a shiny finger print magnet! From the top The Thrustmaster T248 is quite possibly one of the most popular Thrustmaster racing wheels in many years. It launched at a mid-range price point, with full Xbox and PS5 compatibility. This makes it one of the best budget-friendly racing wheels to race Assetto Corsa Competizione with. Thrustmaster wheel settings:

Final Review Verdict

The GT II has the normal 510 connection with a gold plated spring loaded pin and a Type C fast charge 3A port, which has a plastic slide cover. Between the connection plate and the body is a layer of rubber! The Ferrari SF1000 is one of the coolest formula-style steering wheels on the market and would be my go-to choice for upgrading the steering wheel.
