Accessories included Carry case, ball head, thumb head, spade-shaped head, U-shaped head, bullet head, flat head There are no two ways about it – this massage gun is a looker. It’s smooth, matte design means it’s the most stylish of the bunch. It also has an incredibly impressive battery life – up to six hours per charge – and a wide range of speeds from 1400-3200 PPM (a max speed of 53 percussions per second) over five speed settings. It has an impressive stall force of 56lbs and ‘quiet glide technology’ that is – genuinely – quiet. It’s also better value for money than comparable models. A bit on the process: you’ll first need to insert the attachment, then press the mode button that will take you to the preheating mode (look out for an orange flashing light). Wait for about a minute for the orange light to stop flashing. Once it stops flashing but remains on, it then means it’s heated and ready to be used. It features five speeds, comes with a carrying case, and charges using a USB-C cable, which many people find convenient. January 10, 2023Added new photos demonstrating amplitude, temperature measurements we’ve done. (By: Greg) My first impression of the Prime is wholly positive – I like the sleek, streamlined build, ergonomic handle and how easy it is to use. One button on the top of the device is used to switch it on and off and control the vibrations, which can be set at speeds ranging from 1750 to 2400 percussions per minute (PPM). It has a fair battery life of 120 minutes with continuous use. This is the best massage gun for serious aches and pains, with nine intensity levels and 10 different massage heads so you can find the right combination for you. The Sonic FX reaches deeper and goes harder into your sore spots than similar units at its price point, to help relieve tension more effectively. It’s also great for stress relief. Massage gun brands state that their products provide a wide range of benefits, from promoting blood flow and accelerating muscle recovery to improving flexibility and encouraging lymphatic drainage. The Pulseroll comes with an instruction manual, with advice on how to treat common injuries like tennis elbow, pinpointing where you should massage and with which head. It’s a real bonus if you’re not versed in the world of physiotherapy, like me. Now, factor in a percussion massager and you’ve got something even more beneficial. It’s a kin to having a hot stone massage, which gives you a host of befits like: Choose from six different massage heads that can cover a raft of problem areas including all of the usual suspects such as quads, calves, glutes and more besides. Usually, the one attachment that is used for the heated massage therapy is the flat (usually ceramic) head. All the other attachments are standard and will not give you a heated massage.

Additionally, it comes with two rechargeable batteries, so you can charge one while the other is in use. The vibration speeds are spread across four pre-programmed options: 1,300, 1,800, 2,500 and 3,300 PPM, and all of them feel like they’re very effective in loosening muscle tension and easing aches and pains. The best massage guns also come with interchangeable heads (or “tips”) so you can find something that’s round and gentle to roll over the body for general aches and pains, or choose something that delivers more targeted touch-points and relief. What Are the Best Massage Guns? Conclusion: Stoke Length of 12mm is almost unseen in heated massage guns. Urikar Pro 2 is the only one that we’re aware of. Most have up to 9-11mm. Urikar feels punchier, while other guns on our list feel more vibrational.

To be honest, there isn’t that much difference between the two (at least not as far as everything else is concerned).

While it is safe to use a massage gun every day, there are some rules you should follow. As with most things, it is possible to overdo it with your massage. While the sensation might feel great on sore muscles in the moment, you might do more harm than good by causing more soreness and even bruising on overworked areas. Better still, there are five speed settings and seven interchangeable heads (which you can use with massage oil), allowing you to target different muscle groups and areas of the body. There’s even a head designed to combat and help reduce cellulite – a first in our round-up.These are the intended areas of application for each massage gun head we came across (under various names) in our tests: Liz lives and works in the Inland Empire of CA. With an amplification of 12mm, it’s not as powerful as the brand’s other full sized devices, but feels pretty close. Given that it’s the most affordable of the Theragun massage guns I tried, and the most practical, it’d still say it has a lot to offer. It’s one of the lightest devices I tested at 0.7kg (second only to the Theragun Mini – see below), so it could easily be taken to the gym with you, when going to the gym is an option. It has an 180 minute battery life, which is shorter than some of the heftier massage guns (such as the Powerplate Pulse), but that’s what you’d expect from a device that’s lighter and so much smaller. That said, you don’t have to go to a professional to see results. Percussive massagers — also known as massage guns — provide short bursts of pressure into your muscle tissue.
