When Mina, an air hostess, bags her way on the exciting new non-stop flight to Sydney, Adam is frustrated that she's chosen to go so close to Christmas instead of spending time with their daughter and hopefully repairing their relationship but also annoyed that she arranged for a babysitter to collect their daughter from work. There are a variety of settings: Adams work, the journey to school, home and the flight. We gradually learn about the uneasy family dynamics of Adam, Mina and their five year old daughter, Sophia.

The atmosphere on board the first non-stop flight from London to Sydney is electric. Celebrities are rumoured to be among the passengers in business class, and the world is watching the landmark journey.
