The first Bluetooth device, a hands-free headset, was released in 1999. That seems like forever ago. Now Bluetooth is everywhere in cars, watches, home automation, phones, and more. In 2022, it’s difficult to imagine life before Bluetooth. I can vividly remember white headphones with dangling cords ubiquitously jammed into every pair of ear holes while walking through the airport. Bluetooth has freed us all from the strangling cord of audio doom. I have several pairs, but as a Gadgeteer, I’m always looking for the next best thing. I have some experience with JBL speakers but wanted to have a look at their latest earbuds, the Live Free 2s, to see if they can bring musical joy. And that’s it! Your earbuds should now be reset. Now pair them to your device, and they should both be working. If not, move on to the next step. 2. The Speaker Is clogged Many brands claim that their headphones are catered to consumers who are "on the go," but usually this sort of language refers more to going to the coffee shop for a latte than, say, going on a trek through the Andes. Jaybird, however, is more interested in the latter, and its newest pair of true wireless earbuds is designed to be your companion through even the most extreme of journeys. Sounds over 80 decibel (dB) can start to damage hearing. Sounds over 120 dB immediately damage hearing. The severity of the damage depens on how often and how long the sound is present. Update Firmware In terms of overall performance, I’m impressed with the Free 2. The ANC isn’t as strong as the WF-1000XM4 or even the JBL Live Pro 2, but it’s still really good. The majority of noise on my DC Metro commute melted away during my testing, while the included ambient sound and walkthrough modes (toggled by tapping on the left earbud) allowed me to listen when I needed to. Working out with them was particularly nice; you never want to worry about your earbuds when you’re trying for a new PR. The IPX5 waterproofing will certainly help if your workouts are particularly sweaty. The charging case has LED indicators to let you know the state of charge, and the ear buds connect to your phone (or iPad) as soon as you take them out of the charging case, you don't have to re-pair them each time. This may sound like an ineffective solution but trust us you wouldn’t want to skip out on this step. This solved the issue in the majority of cases.On that note, there is not great way to tell what the battery level is at. The earbuds won’t tell you but the case does have an indicator but it’s for the case not the buds. They are very large and the weight sits high, causing them to tip slightly outwards. For me, this means they fall out of my ears. And, without any cord holding them together, an individual earbud simply crashes to the floor. This is a huge problem for jogging, cycling, snowboarding, etc – as it means they are very easy to lose. I would recommend wearing a beanie / tuke / knit cap that fits over your ears as it will help prevent them from falling out. When I try to connect the headset to my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy J5), I get a bluetooth connection request ("Enter the PIN to pair, usually 0000 or 1234."). Neither succeeds. Where can I find such a pin? However, it's apparently not a pin on the phone either. Doesn't work on that either. In addition, BES2300 also supports external heart rate sensors, acceleration sensors and other external sensor devices and eMMC flash memory, which can achieve the purpose of playing music on external storage devices. BES2300 can output sound to headphones and home audio, and can also record from an external microphone.

This is how the connection process works, once you pair your earbuds to a device, that device is then saved into your earbud’s pairing history memory, allowing them to be paired to that device automatically at times. The BTB on the motherboard uses OCN (Yaqi Technology) high-current connectors, model: OK-35F006-04, with a pitch of 0.4mm, a height of 0.6mm, and a current of 3A. The sound is great right out of the box. There is no app to tweak them which is nice to not over complicate things but still can be helpful. I would say they are more bass heavy but it is not over done. JBL is known for making good headphones and I am happy to say that this is a great pair of true wireless earbuds. Let's talk more about them and why I found them to be great. These aren't going to blow you away, (they are not terribly loud), but the sound quality is good and I have not had the connectivity issues that I have read about regarding the previous generation / iteration of them.While wireless earbuds certainly have their strengths, unfortunately, that doesn’t come without the occasional technical issue. And as someone whose been reviewing various brands of wireless earbuds for a few years, there’s a common troubleshooting question that’s constantly being asked. And that is ““why is one of my earbuds not working?”.
