The Kirkland Signature was part of our 2021 wedge test which included 35 golfers using the Foresight GC Quad launch monitors. All golfers used Titleist Pro V1 balls to help minimize variables. When our final details were calculated, outliers were removed. In addition, we made sure to test the Kirkland Signature for players at different swing speeds and with moisture on the face as a variable. Secondly, they launched higher. The lofts were pretty much the same but the face angle was much steeper so these wedges made it easier to get the ball high in the air.

Kirkland Signature 3-Piece Wedge Set Review - Golf Monthly

Thanks for the compliment, Jerome! Good question on the bounce of these wedges. I would describe these wedges more as mid-bounce rather than high. Both the gap wedge and the sand wedge have around 10 degrees of bounce, while the lob wedge has 8. Like most golf clubs, they won’t work for every player. However, compared to other, more expensive clubs and sets, they measure up pretty well. References The Southern California Design Company is the Kirkland golf club manufacturer. They’re based in Carlsbad, California.Like all Kirkland golf clubs, the KS1 putter also provides great value for money. The feel is solid, and if you’re into blade-style putters, this putter offers a good option to see if it suits your game. The wedge shares a similar creative story to the putter in that Costco buyers approached a well-respected design firm, in this case, the Southern California Design company, to develop the wedges and work with a manufacturer for production. This isn’t SCD Co’s first time working in golf either—it had a hand in the (visual) creation of the Cobra AMP Cell irons, and another company Indi Golf and the StingRay wedges. Price is one of the biggest factors to look at. While some golfers are only concerned with performance, others are also concerned about price. While many do not mind spending a little bit more money to get high quality clubs, most do not want to break the bank. So, when it comes to Kirkland and Vokey wedges, which ones are cheaper? Who makes Kirkland Signature Wedges? The Kirkland Signature wedges are also made and designed by the Southern Design Company and are considered to provide excellent value for money. The shafts are all stainless steel and you should know that the deep grooves make these wedges unusable for tournament play.

The 60˚ wedge in particular offered impressive versatility. From bunkers shots, using the full effect of the bounce, to delicate chip shots where more of the leading edge was needed, it provided good, all-round playability. The difference in the lofts and sole designs between the three models give you plenty of choices around the green. Whilst very simple, what Kirkland are offering here is effective. SM Global appears to be a large partner of Costco and also helps with their other golf products including the popular 3-piece golf ball, gloves and current wedge set. I would have no hesitation putting these in my bag but would need a few mods first. 1. I’d grind down the 60deg so I could open up the face without digging. 2. Adjust the lies to 62deg (2 deg flat) and 3, change the grips to Lamkin cords. The last two are personal fitting issues that have nothing to do with the clubs. They are also weighted nicely. Not all players will prefer the extra weight but it made the wedges easier to play on all kinds of turf. They performed consistently on long and short grass. Pros And Cons Of The Tour Grind Wedges

Just over a month ago, we were the first to report on the Kirkland Signature wedges on the USGA and R&A conforming clubs list. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation on how and when they would be released. Don’t think they are making tons of profit on those, as per the Costco business model. If they are, then what does it say about the obscene prices at the Golf snob shops? To Paul Schofield: Not true! Costco DOES support golf by making it more affordable for the less fortunate and the uninitiated to enter the sport.

In January 2023, Kirkland Signature 4 irons were listed in the USGA conformity list. However, since then, only the pictures of the club have come out and not the club itself, and I’m not going to lie to you, but I cannot wait to test these bad boys out. The gap wedge is set to 52 degrees of loft, the sand wedge is set to 56 and the lob wedge gives you high arcing shots effortlessly at 60 degrees. Costco does nothing to support golf they only profit from it. When they start sponsoring junior golf in a big way then they will be worth buying thier equipment. I recommend these wedges for beginners because of their price point, performance, and reliability. What Do You Get?Not only do I believe it, I condone it as he spoke of nothing but facts sir. You remind me of Roy Rogers horse, but I can't seem to remember its name... The Kirkland Signature wedges have a traditionally shaped teardrop silhouette with moderately cambered soles and have milled groves to offer maximum spin and short game control.
