About this deal

Would have been better if they made the side panel out of those covers, opened out like fancy car doors from the middle - or had optional replacements to slap in side-exhaust for even more radiator placement options As we mentioned before, the right side of this case is not hidden due to the use of a tempered glass panel, so cleaning up your cables is almost a requirement. Personally, I’m not a fan of cable management, but Lian Li have made this so much easier with their cable management system. I never understood why case companies add glass to the rear side panel, as Lian Li does here, because who wants to see their bird's nest-like cable mess? However, the Lancool III features small metal doors that cover your cables, similar to the bigger CoolerMaster HAF 700 Evo. If you are a cable managing guru, the doors can be removed and show off the profusion of Lancool’s Velcro cable ties."

Oh, and if you find the traditional standard GPU installation a bit boring, the company will also offer a vertical GPU mounting kit, similar to the O11D Evo, with your choice of PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 riser cables. The kit will even let you mount the card in two places above the PSU shroud so you can leave clearance for fans or let it sit lower down if you don’t have spinners there. The company hasn’t yet told us how much the riser kit would cost. Testing Hardware Here you can see my meager attempts at clean cable management. The Lancool 3 made this process super easy by providing preinstalled velcro strips, in all the right places. There are also pre-set locations to mount the Fan hubs, for the fans, and the strimers. Here you can see it fully featured with 3 hubs installed. This being Lian Li's most basic version of the Lancool III gives you just about everything except for lighting, which you could very well add later. Lian Li's Lancool III is the best version yet of the series. Stealthy, tons of attention to detail, easy to build in, and great water cooling options. Pros With the ability to support 3 × 360mm radiators simultaneously, the LANCOOL III can offer custom water-cooling enthusiasts, lots of imagination.

Other than this, the design doesn’t seem hugely different. Lian Li are still opting to include the hinged tempered glass side panels which are a nice touch, and instead of having RGB out of the box, you get to choose the RGB model for a little bit more money. Despite there not being any drastic changes to the look, the Lancool II was a great case so it’ll be interesting to see how Lian Li has improved upon a proven design. Upright graphics card accessories for O11D EVO XL New mounting angle for GPU opens room for unrestricted chimney-style configuration. Designed for large GPUs such as 40 series GPUs Features a 2.88” IPS LCD screen with a 480x480 resolution Powered by Asetek 8th Gen Solution with a three-phase motor that goes up to 3600 RPM Features screen recording and screen capturing functions to easily display your favorite contents Access unique screen effects and layer-by-layer customization through L-Connect 3 Factory installed ARGB daisy-chainable radiator fans or UNI FAN SL-INF 45-degree… Make sure that your motherboard BIOS is the latest version. If not, recommend to update to the latest version. With the Lancool III as your PC chassis, you’ll have plenty of scope when it comes to component choices. To begin with, this case can fit motherboards ranging from Mini-ITX all the way to E-ATX boards (under 280mm wide). Furthermore, this PC case is able to house even the largest graphics cards easily, with 8 expansion slots provided and 420mm of clearance. You’ll also be able to install a powerful PSU to power all your components, as Lian Li has provided a dedicated chamber with 220mm of clearance for an ATX power supply. I did a failed attempt to do a top mounted push/pull , but the clearance interfered with my RAM, (although you could likely get away with it with shorter ram). So I ditched the idea of a push/pull altogether. Most recently we’ve seen NZXT take the same approach by providing a case model (the H7 Flow) which has a perforated front to improve airflow. Although, as we discovered in our review on the H7 Flow, airflow-optimised vents are only worthwhile if they are paired up with enough, good case fans.

The Lancool III provides a plethora of options for keeping all your components cool. To begin with, the front mesh panel facilitates great airflow and dust filtration. This is due to it having 15mm holes 2mm apart offering an exceptional 51% porosity. Out of the box, this case comes with four 140mm PWM fans pre-installed at the front and rear of the case. Alongside these fans, another three 120mm fans can be installed above the power supply chamber, and three 140mm fans can be attached to the top of the case. The front IO is removable, and can be placed to be oriented at the top or the bottom of the case. Two screws makes the change easy work. And the best view - the front side view. This build really shows how stealthy one can be, especially when RGB is not present. Final Thoughts I like this case MUCH better than the Lancool 2, for the sake of simply appearances. The lancool 3 gives the ability for a uniform 3x fans on top and bottom for a uniform look, as opposed to the lancool 2 which only gave 2 fans for the top and bottom which gave an asymmetrical appearance. There was a nice attention to detail to allow the SL fans RGB to be viewed from the front. Mini-ITX Aluminum Chassis Features swappable hinged glass and mesh panels Included PCIe 3.0 or PCIe 4.0 riser cable for vertically mounted GPU Supports SFX PSU and up to 160mm long ATX PSU Supports up to 325mm long radiator in certain circumstances Supports 4 storage drive mounting locations Cable management friendly with tie points and included LED/ fan hub

Our finished PC build almost vanished inside the spacious Lian Li Lancool III and the cables were neatly hidden away and out of sight. Testing Prior to the Lancool III, there was – can you believe it – a Lancool II model! The new v3 variant sports a similar design, but differentiates itself with a much improved front panel.
