About this deal

Despite this, unlike some Thrustmaster wheels, this racing wheel oozes extra quality in both design and build. This added quality, combined with the superb game and console support, does lead us to recommend this racing wheel for new sim racers.

The goal is to add extra immersion to your sim racing experience and allow you to feel a stronger connection to the car you are driving. Does it work? Well, yes and no. Unfortunately, at launch, this feature isn’t even supported in the majority of racing sim games. The only games that currently support this feature are Assetto Corsa Competizione and GT Sport. It will convert the physics and engine audio into vibrations that vary in strength. The louder your engine and stronger the car physics, the stronger the vibration in your wheel will be. In terms of the pedals, only the brake feels different from the G29/G920. The G923 now has a progressive spring under the brake that makes it harder to depress the further you stomp on it (the G29/G920 has a rubber stopper, which is an effective but cruder solution to simulate the building hydraulic force of a brake pedal – although it creates a distinct two-stage effect where you can feel the pedal first hit the stopper).

Technical Specifications

At first glance, the pedals that are included with the Logitech G923 look absolutely identical to the old pedal set. That is other than the slightly changed Logitech logo that sits just under the pedals. If you already own the Logitech shifter, this new racing wheel is fully compatible. You can connect your shifter in exactly the same way you did with the old G29, and it will work out of the box. Put the spacer in the centre of the hub, fixing it so that it fits tightly and with the ACELITH lettering straight and facing you.In the tutorial video the spacer is different: the one you received is better, don't worry :) There are good bits, sure, particularly the lower price. However, the Hori Apex (and the Hori Overdrive) is easily the most toy-like wheel in this group. It has plastic gear shifters, fairly cheap plastic pedals and no parts to upgrade. It also has very limited rotation compared with all the other wheels here, turning just 270 degrees rather than 900 or 1080. Games like F1 23 often provide some of the most realistic racing sim experiences around. And as a result, you'll want a racing wheel that can really capture the feeling of Formula 1.

The pedal design, construction and positioning are identical to the old kit. This is good news for those racers who have nailed their heel and toe technique. As you won’t need to adjust to new pedal positions.

As you drive, you can feel the gears turning, and this is especially true when making very fine wheel angle adjustments. If you are mid-corner, and try to apply slightly more wheel input, you can actually feel the cogs in the gears. The clutch, brake, and accelerator pedal set is also essentially aesthetically identical to the G29/G920 pedals; the only way you could really tell the sets apart when looking at them is the logo printed beneath the brake pedal. The only difference is inside; the G923 replaces the rubber stopper under the G29/G920 with a new progressive spring that gets firmer as you depress it. Breaking, cornering and various surfaces all feel better than ever on the G923. The pedals receive the least enhancements. A progressive spring and stiffer feeling on the brake pedal allows for some better heel-toe manuevers. Hopefully, Logitech can figure out how to have their pedals match the realism on their wheels without an insane price increase. Regardless, the entire build feels incredibly strong. Both the wheel and pedals are comfortable and ready for hours of continuous driving. Fanatec’s pedals are excellent, with seriously tough metal frames and proper progressive brakes, and you can even choose how stiff the brake is. It goes so stiff, in fact, that to really get the most out of the CSL Elite you want a frame into which you screw the pedals. But the price alone tells you this is an enthusiast wheel. Enabling Trueforce definitely adds another layer to the sensations felt through the wheel, though it does come at the cost of making the wheel even noisier than usual. Trueforce, for instance, enables the G923 to hook itself into the in-game audio and deliver a constant vibration to the wheel rim to simulate the throbbing engine reverberating into the cabin and through the controls. The higher the revs, the stronger the vibration. If you mute the game volume on your gaming TV or soundbar and speaker system you can still hear the G923 itself sound like it’s going through its own rev range – it’s kind of like that slightly distant, tinny sound you get when you go to play a game and you think your speakers are broken until you realise you’ve just forgotten to unplug your gaming headset.

Much like with the G29 and G920 below, the Thrustmaster TX and T300 wheels are essentially the same, but boast the key difference of working with different consoles. The Thrustmaster TX is for Xbox One and the T300 RS is for PlayStation owners.Thrustmaster has a wider range of racing wheel options and its products are perfect if you're looking for an entry-level experience. That might mean you're getting a no-frills experience, but the brand makes some of the best and most accessible racing wheels on the market. This Final Fantasy 14 group may have set a new MMO record: 24 cat boys in speedos clearing a raid threepeat The result does feel richer in comparison, although as a relatively new product there’s limited current support for the feature within the racing and driving genre. Logitech G923 – Design and Features There’s a solution, but it’s not cheap. These wheels are actually part of a system – you can get other steering wheels and more advanced pedalboards, the T3PA and the fab T3PA Pro. There’s even a manual gearbox if you want a proper old-school driving feel. The exterior of the steering wheel part itself is also all-plastic, without the metal parts that make these wheels seem a bit less toy-like. There's still sports car-like metal spoke shifters behind the wheel, though.
