About this deal

I used to own a Nikon APS-C D5100, but compared with a weight of the bag carrying that camera and all its lenses, this was a huge winner for me. Then there are those tiny prime f/1.8 lenses like the 20mm f/1.7 pancake, which don't add to the weight and give nice low-light shooting options and bokeh. Above: The Lumix Image app also makes it easy to copy images onto your smartphone over Wifi. You can copy images at the original resolution or in reduced versions. So the idea is (I guess) to have GX850 serve as a replacement to GM1? It has exactly the same 16MP sensor (GM1 was released in 2013, time seems to have stopped for MFT sensors), is marginally heavier and larger (by a few mm). The only improvement seems to be a slightly more powerful CPU needed to pull off 4K video. Not to say 20 or 21mm would be any bad, but I don't see how it would fit especially wide scenery as a near normal angle of view prime. Expressive / Retro / Old Days / High Key / Low Key / Sepia / Monochrome / Dynamic Monochrome / Rough Monochrome / Silky Monochrome / Impressive Art / High Dynamic / Cross Process / Toy Effect / Toy Pop / Bleach Bypass / Miniature Effect / Soft Focus / Fantasy / Star Filter / One Point Color / Sunshine

I'm not sure trying to make their entry level model be their smallest possible body as well (with the GF7/8 and now this) was really the right play, but I don't know that any of the mirrorless players are really making a killing on entry level bodies anyway... Seems like keeping an older high end model (a la a5100/6000) in production can almost be more profitable, would've loved to have seen the GM bodies kept around like that. They were on closeout for like forever...Other than a couple of new beauty retouch options, Aesthetic Retouch and Make-up Retouch, which are also now available in the Portrait scene mode, the new Panasonic GX880 offers all of the same core features as its 2-year-old predecessor, the GX800. Photo Style is a function that lets you set the picture quality, such as contrast or saturation, as you like before shooting. After choosing the mode you like from a total of seven modes (Standard, Vivid, Natural, Monochrome, L.Monochrome and Scenery), you can fine tune for the desired effect.

Use a card with SD Speed Class with "Class 4" or higher when recording motion pictures in [AVCHD] or [MP4 (under 28Mbps)]. This makes it ideal for those who want to always have a camera on them, but don’t want to carry something bulky and heavy around with them. As this is a camera marketed at entry-level users, the design and usage of the camera has been kept pretty simple.

LUMIX Mirrorless MOS Sensor 16MP Camera Kit DC-GX880K

Other than the rather ineffectual hand-grip and the smattering of new and improved selfies modes, the Panasonic GX880 is identical to its predecessor both externally and internally. this is an example of panny losing their way .... a viewfinder is essential.. this crippled camera without ibis of a vf is a pointless waste Image quality is very good, but somehow I liked the colors a bit better on the original. Anyway here's a recent example Auto*, Auto/Red-eye Reduction*, Forced On, Forced On/Red-eye Reduction, Slow Sync., Slow Sync./Red-eye Reduction, Forced Off *For iA, iA+ only.

At its core the GX850 represents a combining of Panasonic's style-oriented GF-line with the ultra-compact-oriented GM-line and replaces both the GM5 and GF8. However, its most similar sibling currently on the market is the larger, EVF-sporting GX85. Key features: The Panasonic Lumix GX880 is a sleek and stylish mirrorless camera for high-quality 4K shooting with advanced selfie function technology. Auto*, Auto/Red-eye Reduction*, Forced On, Forced On/Red-eye Reduction, Slow Sync., Slow Sync./Red-eye Reduction, Forced Off * For iA, iA+ only.

And why no-one has ever bought a Ricoh GR. Or an RX1. Or the Sony A5100. Or The NEX-5. Or the GM-1. Or the CM-1.
