The picture is excellent, very cinematic and looking wonderful, but don't expect substantial gains on this side of the ledger. The image There’s nothing artificial about the way M3GAN looks on its Blu-ray debut. Colors are bold and the entire spectrum is covered. The interior of the house, office, etc. give a warm vibe that nearly looks like a Hallmark movie (I’m sure it was intentional) while the outdoor scenes retain that sun-soaked color palette. This changes later on, naturally, due to the film’s nature. The 2.39:1 AVC HD encode isn’t challenged in the least with the minor exception of a bit of blooming. It’s certainly indicative of what a new-to-the-format film should look like – it’s good-looking. Audio: How’s it sound?

Textural gains are a bit less dramatic. To be sure, the image is plainly sharper and overall clarity is wonderful, but the added resolution only pushes the Moreover, I get not liking the movie, but for people ripping on a certain studio, can you like, get a hobby? I couldn't care less about Ant-man 8 or whatever Marvel puts out, but you don't see me crying about it.M3GAN, orModel 3 Generative Android, is an artificially intelligent lifelike doll developed by Gemma. The android was designed to be a child’s best friend and loyal companion, especially when caretakers like Gemma need help. At first, MEGAN is a huge success, bonding with Cady and doing exactly what Gemma set out for it to do. However, M3GAN soon develops a violent streak when she becomes overprotective of Cady, leading to tragic consequences.

Bringing Life to M3GAN – See how animatronics, puppets, and actor Amie Donald helped make M3GAN as real as possible Universal upgrades M3gan to the UHD format with a pristine new 2160p/HDR UHD presentation. Of immediate note is the newfound level of If you’ve seen Child’s Play (or any of its sequels) then you’ve essentially seen this. Take a look at the cover art. Do you think that something like that could do anything good without there being a nefarious side? Hell no. But the scary part, and I mean the truly scary part, is that this idea isn’t so far-fetched. I read that an artificial intelligence “app” discovered a new form of liver cancer treatment just by scanning doctor’s notes. Good? Of course. But scary is well. How long until these things become self-aware and then we’ve got a Skynet situation on our hands. Ugh. I don’t even want to think about that! The performances are fine, the story is “been there, done that” but despite it all, the film still managed to hold my attention. And given the critical and commercial response, it’s highly likely that we’ll be seeing more of this dead-eyed doll in the future. I can’t wait. Video: How’s it look? zasderfght While admittedly the hatred for modern Disney is justified, bringing Disney into the conversation about M3GAN is apples to oranges. If people want to hate on Universal though, for knowingly giving us the shaft on this movie, that's more than acceptable.Calibrated with Calman color calibration software and Portrait Displays C6 HDR2000 colorimeter from Portrait.com)

Unrated Cut - There is only a couple of minutes of longer scenes, none of which adds to the chaos or brutality really of the film. This is not the best gory cut of the movie. The M3GAN UNRAT3D VERSION delivers more distressing violence and profanity and features never-before-seen bonus content including a breakdown of the creation of M3GAN and behind-the-scenes featurettes showcasing the film's complex stunts and gory deaths. No really…is there? Probably not. And I’ve never seen an android in the flesh (so to speak). But I think that technology is evolving fast enough that someday we’ll all have that opportunity. Remember a simpler time when we could go outside, ride a bike and play with some friends? Are those days gone forever? I’m going off on a tangent here. Let me switch gears. Though he’s not the man behind the camera, James Wan has given us his share of horror films. The latest entry into his pantheon is M3GAN, the story of an artificial intelligence “lifeform” who has more to her than meets the eye. Wan has made a name for himself and even with a few of his own films dealing with “creepy dolls”, namely Annabelle and Dead Silence. And now we’ve got…this. Essentially if you add some parts from Fatal Attraction, throw in a bit of Single While Female, mix in some bits of Terminator 2 and a good portion of Child’s Play you’ve got this. M3GAN, which stands for Model 3 Generative Android, is fully self-aware just like the robotic doll herself in its dialogue and story. It plays to the satire of technology in today's society of how we humans rely on it to function in our busy lives. From cellular devices to gaming systems, and smart hubs, these devices more or less run human lives in a variety of aspects. With M3GAN, Allison Williams plays Gemma, an inventor, and roboticist for a toy company that makes a popular child's toy similar to those iconic and pesky Furbees. But Gemma's new interest is in a lifesize doll with artificial intelligence that will become a child's best friend and help parents in their daily lives raise their young ones. So basically like the new and improved Good Guy Doll with a ton of bells and whistles. M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child's greatest companion and a parent's greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams, Get Out), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. As Gemma faces pressure at work from her boss (Ronny Chieng, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) to deliver a finished version of M3GAN, she suddenly becomes the unprepared caretaker of her newly orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House). Gemma decides to pair the M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences. radical advances in the world or synthetic life, but of course the film tailors the story and the dangers to build a Slasher film.
