Kids can start the potion by pouring a potion bottle filled with water into the cauldron. They can then pour in the sound dust to give the Mixie its voice, drop in the glimmer star to add sparkle to the Mixie’s eyes, drop in the magic feather to grand the Mixie its wings, add the fizz flower to color the Mixie, and drop in the crystal gem. Each step will trigger colored lights and sounds to indicate that the potion is brewing. After each step, kids must tap the rim of the cauldron three times when they hear the “tap tap tap” prompt. The final step is to write the Magic Mixie’s name on the naming scroll and drop it into the cauldron. The big one for 2022 right now is the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball. I’ve been hands-on with this toy and it’s just as magical as the misting cauldron. After that comes adding the pieces to create the Mixie, which includes a Pegasus feather so it can fly and sparkles for its eyes. If you have used the Cauldron before, make sure the Inner Bowl surface is properly wiped clean of any previous spell ingredients, particularly the Water Sensors. Don’t worry though, you can still complete the reveal process if you have used all the ingredients at once! You can start the potion by adding water to the cauldron (to activate it), then inserting various "magical" included ingredients — like the Fizz Feather, Magic Feather, Sound Dust and more — stirring and tapping three times with the wand after each one when the green light appears. After the final three taps, you'll see mist rise from the cauldron and the Magic Mixie will emerge. But the fun doesn't end there though — the Mixie itself reacts to touch and responds to the wand with lights and sounds, so you can play with it for hours. Can Magic Mixies be used again?
