About this deal

It’s great. I have a home which has a stove top however only one of the hotplates is active at any one time. So cooking the main dish using the stove top while making rice using the microwave simultaneously can be life saving! Reply I’d love to see you do a post on brown rice like you mentioned. I’m going to have to try this although I have no trouble making mine in a pot on the stove. Reply Allowing you to easily transport foods that you previously couldn’t - like sauces, soups, and stews Sistema® Ultra™ clear containers can be stored perfectly on the counter top, kitchen drawers, pantry and fridge.

As some of you may already know from reading my halogen posts, I am on a mission to stop using my hob. Another thing that will do it is if you let the rice go dry then it will burn. If left long enough the plastic will also burn. After reading your article, I bought such a Microwave Rice Cooker in Warsaw and regret that I did not do it earlier. Great deal and no need to buy rice in bags. ReplyI like the look of the rice cooking microwave. and that’s why i bought it. it is work perfectly! compared to pot it’s much better. Reply Made some white rice using the stove top method and was very pleased with the result! The rice was so fluffy!!! Reply It’s a quiet machine, but that might be a downside for some as there is no beep to signal when it’s finished. As there’s no timer, either, there’s no indication of how long it will be till your rice is ready.

Worked as advertised. My wife’s Korean, and said it was good. I used a microwave popcorn maker…just a microwave safe bowl with vented lid. Thanks for the idea! Reply I always refer to this recipe when wanting to cook rice in the microwave! Thank you for saving me time on cooking and dish washing Reply go out and buy a special cooker I used what I had which was a Pyrex souffle dish with an oversized floppy silicone lid. I could have done with a better lid but hey, it worked well. Reply Excellent. I have a 700 watt microwave so everything takes a little longer to cook. I used the times 6 min./16 min. 50%. Growing up, we bought 100 lb bags of rice from the rice mill. Ate rice 6 times a week. This is easy and the taste and texture are perfect! ReplyFoods containing water expand when frozen. Leave sufficient space in container when freezing to allow for expansion. Great article. This article is full of information & knowledge. Many thanks to the author for this informative and helpful article about cooking rice in the microwave. Reply Microwave Steamer: 2.4L (approx.), Rice Microwave Steamer: 2.6L (approx.), Egg Microwave Steamer: 1.1L (approx.) To prevent staining and blistering, avoid heating foods like tomato-based sauces, beetroot, curries, food seasoned with the herb turmeric, or foods with high fat or high sugar content.

To steam vegetables, fill a pot with enough water to come just below the steaming basket, and bring it to a boil. Place the prepared vegetables in the basket, cover the pot with a lid, and reduce the heat to a simmer. The vegetables will steam until they are tender and cooked to your liking. Cooking Time for Different Vegetables:

Why Not Replace the Hob with the Microwave to Cook Rice?

The first comment was that the steamer was a “game changer”. Knowing how much my halogen changed mine this was music to my ears. Could this make things that much easier as well?
