About this deal

Elliott & Kate ~ This was the disappointing one for me. Elliott & Kate’s story, while it should have been moving and emotional, I actually found it out of touch and insensitive. It was just nice seeing all the couples happy and content with their lives (even the characters I don’t necessarily love). It makes me happy seeing them happy after having gone through so much in their books. This was the epilogue I was most worried about because I saw someone say they were unhappy with where Elliot and Kate ended up. However, I really liked it. The struggles felt incredibly authentic. The only reason this wasn’t a 5 ⭐️ epilogue was because of how Elliot and Kate blew up at one another. I did not like that aspect at all. However, what Jameson and Emily did for Kate and Elliot was one of the most heartwarming things I have ever read, so I was BAWLING. My favorite epilogue was The Casanova. I really love the way that the issues Kate and Elliot were having with infertility was written. I cried my eyes out reading out their pain, and I was raw, and real. I always knew Emily was one of my favorite characters, and what she did for this couple just filled my heart with joy.

I want you to be the boy’s father.” I smile hopefully. “Legally. Before the baby comes.” I secretly lodged the papers months ago and they have only just been approved. He reads the papers as if unable to believe it and his face screws up in emotion. While this series started off fairly strong, and I still enjoy re-reading some of the books, I do feel it kinda fizzled out at the end. The steam isn’t as hot as it used to be, the tantrums are overdone now, and the repetition…oh, the repetition… Jameson and Emily are probably my least favorite couple in this series, but their epilogue was lowkey hilarious. I love the retreat spa idea that Emily had to destress. Seeing Jameson completely out of his elements and throwing tantrums was funny.

I wasn't a fan of Christopher's story (did he really love his partner to begin with...or did his love for the little boy keep them together?) and stopped reading when I got to him.

Let me preface this by saying I've enjoyed TL Swan's books. I'm a fan of The Stopover, love The Takeover, and am a fan of her across the pond reads that center grumpy men (Mr. Masters and Mr. Garcia). I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. The Takeover - my favourite original book and epilogue. Out of all the couples, Tristan and Claire are truly made for one another. Both quite goofy and have the best banter. The intimate scenes were on point for how many kids they have (fellow new parent here) and I love how T.L Swan writes family scenes. So frenetic, chaotic and perfect. But the good thing about me is that I’m an incredible problem solver, and I’ve come up with a diabolical plan. I’m going to slide right in under her friend zone. Be the best damn friend she ever had, hold her hand, make her laugh, and spoon with her in bed.I would rather perish than date a man like him—though I do have to admit it was good for the ego. Turning him down was the highlight of my year. When you’re as rich as the Miles brothers, you have multiple fertility treatment options available to you--all options that these two (even with their combined brain power and the input of medical professionals) ignore until the bitter end. I liked the Casanova resolution the best. Kate and Elliot’s struggle with infertility was so poignantly expressed that I could feel their pain. I sobbed my eyes out while reading about their ordeal. Although Emily’s popularity among viewers has always been high, her recent support for the newlyweds has solidified her status as my personal favourite character. As someone who has experienced the pain of infertility, I particularly appreciated Elliot and Kate's ending.

One big positive: No Mother Miles popping up throughout with her words of unwisdom. I still haven’t forgiven her for the way she spoke about Claire like she was some dried up old prune simply because she's in her late thirties! (Yes, I’m around Claire’s age, how could you tell?)stars! Miles Ever After is a collection of novellas, or extended epilogues, for the Miles series. I thought I was looking forward to this, but I was really only looking forward to the catchup with Tristan and Claire (since The Takeover is my fav book in this series). But as a whole, I’m feeling very meh about this whole thing, didn’t really like any of the other novellas besides Tristan & Claire’s. Now obviously fans of the series will love this but for me it just reminded me of why I had disliked certain characters’ books. 😅 Six months later, he was the guest speaker at a conference I attended in France. Still arrogant and infuriating—but this time, surprisingly charming and witty. When he looked at me, I got butterflies. Got the book already and finished it? Jameson and Emily are so chaotic, and it’s always so entertaining. I do think that Jameson is incredibly brash, so he kind of annoys me. Besides the ending of the epilogue (which was SO cute), I didn’t see a point in this storyline. It was entertaining, but it could’ve been better! The Casanova—Kate and Elliot trying for a baby. CW: tons of fertility, infertility, IVF discussions and journey.Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other. Well this epilogue was kinda depressing. Most of it dealt with Elliot and Kate fertility issues and didn’t exactly give me warm fuzzy feeling that I wanted for an extended epilogue. Still liked reading it since Elliot and Kate are my 2nd fav after Tristan and Claire. Also that ending was sweet tho. This book is exactly what we all needed. We needed to know exactly what happened, we needed to build the family tree, and know all about the kids, and their lives, and TL Swan did not disappoint. Every single one of the epilogues was true to the book. It is truly incredible how TL has been able to write and give life to these characters and she is able to capture their essence in just a few chapters. I absolutely loved it, and it is definetly worth the read. Yes! Currently, you can read all five books in the Miles High Club series for free with your Kindle Unlimited membership. Related Book Lists: Elliot (The Casanova) — 2 stars — I can’t lie, at the end of his book I half-wanted Kate to stay in Hawaii and live her best life with some hot surfer after Elliot left her to go make sure he didn’t love someone else more (Yes, I already said it once, but really, wtf!). As it is, she’s very forgiving, so we join the two after they’ve been happily married for 18 months. The only thing missing in their life now, is a baby.
