Description

Very common (≥1/10); common (≥1/100,<1/10); uncommon (≥1/1,000, <1/100); rare (≥1/10,000, <1/1,000); very rare (<1/10,000), not known (cannot be estimated from the available data). Angioedema (including: lip oedema, lip swelling, oedema mouth, oropharyngeal swelling, pharyngeal oedema, swollen tongue and tongue oedema) Do not use any other skin products on the same skin area on which you use minoxidil. Hair coloring, hair permanents, and hair relaxers may be used during minoxidil therapy as long as the scalp is washed just before applying the hair coloring, permanent, or relaxer. Minoxidil should not be used 24 hours before and after the hair treatment procedure. Be sure to not double your doses of minoxidil to make up for any missed doses. The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of this medicine. Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Avoid transferring the medicine while wet to other parts of the body. This can occur if the medicine gets on your pillowcase or bed linens or if your hands are not washed after applying minoxidil. Increased systemic absorption of minoxidil may potentially occur if higher-than-recommended doses of Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Foam 5% w/w Cutaneous Foam are applied to larger surface areas of the body or areas other than the scalp. The liquid though is awful for styling your hair. It’s super oily, and you actually look more bald when you apply it. Accidental ingestion may cause serious cardiac adverse events. Therefore this product has to be kept out of the reach of children. If hair regrowth occurs, once daily applications of this product are necessary for continued hair growth. The primary efficacy endpoints were a) mean change in non-vellus hair count within the target region between Baseline and Week 16, as determined by validated computer-assisted dot-mapping technique; and b) subject rating of treatment benefit via use of global photographs of the vertex region, assessed as an overall improvement from baseline, collected on a subject questionnaire. Hypertrichosis (unwanted non-scalp hair including facial hair growth in women) Pruritus (including rash pruritic generalised and eye pruritus) Topical drugs, such as corticosteroids, tretinoin or dithranol or petrolatumwhich alter the stratum corneum barrier, could result in increased absorption of minoxidil if applied concurrently. Although it has not been demonstrated clinically, there exists the theoretical possibility of absorbed minoxidil potentiating orthostatic hypotension caused by peripheral vasodilators.

Based upon these photographic data, around 60% of the patients experienced an increased scalp coverage after 48 weeks treatment with Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution as defined by re-growth of hair; compared with around 23% at an average for those who received vehicle alone. Of these, around 35% treated with Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution experienced dense or moderate regrowth compared with around 7% who received vehicle alone. In addition 30% of patients who received Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution were adjudged to have no change between the photographic assessments of hair growth compared with 60% who received vehicle alone. Stabilisation of hair loss (expressed both as regrowth of hair and no continuation of hair loss) can therefore be expected in about 4 out of 5 of patients using Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution compared with 3 out of 4 patients using vehicle alone. The method of application will differ depending on whether you are using lotion or foam, but the basic technique is to apply a small amount (usually 1ml) very carefully to areas of the scalp affected by balding and to massage it into the skin. If you are using liquid minoxidil, it is likely that you will be provided with an applicator to make the process easier and more accurate.

8/10 WOMEN REGREW HAIR – HAIR REGROWTH WITH MINOXIDIL FOAM

The secondary efficacy endpoints were a) expert panel review (EPR) of hair regrowth when comparing global photographs obtained at baseline with photographs obtained at Week 16 and b) percent change from baseline in non-vellus hair counts within a pre-specified area of clipped hair. A lined aluminium pressurised container with a child-resistant plastic or polypropylene overcap, containing 60 gram of product. The systemic absorption of minoxidil from a 5% solution formulation has been estimated in a pharmacokinetic study in subjects with androgenetic alopecia, which included 5% topical foam as a comparator. This demonstrated that in men, the systemic absorption of minoxidil from twice daily application of 5% minoxidil solution was about twice that, as observed with 5% minoxidil foam. The mean steady state AUC (0-12 hr) and Cmax for 5% minoxidil foam, 8.81 ng·hr/mL and 1.11 ng/mL, respectively, were both approximately 50 % of AUC (0-12 hr) and Cmax of the 5% solution, 18.71 ng·hr/mL and 2.13 ng/mL, respectively. The time to maximum minoxidil concentration (Tmax) for the 5% solution, 5.79 hr, was similar to Tmax for the 5% foam, 5.42 hr.

Before using Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution, the user should determine that the scalp is normal and healthy. Topical minoxidil should not be applied to inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin (see section 4.3). Some patients have experienced changes in hair colour and/or texture with use of Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution. Studies in women suggest that this medication poses minimal risk to the infant when used during breastfeeding. Drug Interactions Hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry prior to topical application of Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution. A dose of 1 ml Regaine for Men Extra Strength Scalp Solution 5% w/v Cutaneous Solution should be applied to the total affected areas of the scalp twice daily. The total dosage should not exceed 2 ml. If fingertips are used to facilitate drug application, hands should be washed afterwards.Laser Therapy– As I’ve said before, laser therapy is the “embarrassing” hair loss remedy. It works to some degree, but you’d probably be mortified if your girlfriend or beer buddies “caught” you wearing a ridiculous-looking laser helmet or cap.
