NECA's Quint was a triumph, but now the action figure and collectable manufacturer have released a second member of the Orca's crew, Matt Hooper. Includes 3 interchangeable heads, swappable hands, hat, goggles, rifle, lantern, bottle, and tumbler. From Halloween Kills, the thrilling sequel to 2018’s hit Halloween movie! This screen-accurate Michael Myers action figure stands in 7″ scale and comes with knives, bat, bulb, skull mask, Halligan bar and interchangeable head and hands… and he’ll need it all when the Strode women set out to end his evil reign of terror. Later this year, NECA will be releasing incredible action figures of Brody and Quint from Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, and an in-scale figure of the shark is also swimming our way.

As you can see from the release notes above, the figure is estimated to release sometime in September. Sadly, as of press time, NECA is yet to confirm a retail price set for the figure. But fear not Jaws fans, as soon as we hear more, we’ll update the post.

Sadly, NECA will never be able to complete the trio of Jaws shark hunters and add Quint and Hooper’s cohort Chief of Police Martin Brody into the mix. There were plans for a Brody figure that would have featured the likeness of Roy Scheider, but those plans had to be scrapped due to rights issues.Seeing as the player characters are children, they won’t have any traditional weapons with which to defend themselves. Instead, they are armed with knowledge and blessings: hearthside tales and nursing rhymes told to them by their grandparents that allows them to avoid the most perilous hazards by remembering the fate of the children-within-rhymes. Each child also has a Patron Saint assigned to them at birth that grants them powers beyond the realm of adulthood. For example, those children who have Saint Sibel, the Seer, may find themselves possessed of worrying supernatural visions, while those under the guardianship of Saint Lohan, the Crow Wife, have a special relationship with corvids who bring them trinkets and clues. The new figure is based on the iconic shark cage sequence where Hooper encounters Bruce the Shark one on one. It comes with a diving suit, flippers, spear, underwater light, knife, and oxygen tank. And more importantly, a swappable head featuring a wonderful likeness to Richard Dreyfuss. But don’t take my word for it.
