Safe to say I already love this, ive been wearing it for less than an hour and i can't get enough of it's intoxicating aroma, I'm really not sure what im going to do once i run out of my little bottle but if theres anyone on here thats tried both vintage and new versions, it would be fantastic if they could msg me with any info on whether they're the same/ similar/ worth buying the new version. You can wear it in any setting and place; but I do think it performs best in colder weather, since it IS a strong fragrance, it might become suffocating in the heat. I managed to get my hands on a vintage Organza and it is so different from the reformulated version. It’s much smoother and the nutmeg doesn’t come off as chemical. Nor is it powdery. The reformulated version is very powdery on me. The dry down is the same for both though lighter in the reformulated. All in all, the vintage Organza is richer overall with clearly better quality ingredients.

Organza is sweet, floral, spicy and woody, slightly green. It's a special occasion perfume, best in cooler weather. Slightly sweet. Vaguely bitter florals. Thin, green notes. Spicy undertones. Neroli stands out. I would call this, an evening floral fragrance. Not quite "dark" but, rich. I really need to get a vial of the original Organza and smell it again. I bought it when it was first introduced; having been very happy with Givenchy's Ysatis a few years earlier, and eager to try their latest offering. Gardenia is such a beautiful creamy flower and I feel the vanilla destroys the gardenia. It’s SUCH a shame.

How many perfumes do you come across with notes of nutmeg and walnuts? I have a huge arsenal and very few have these notes. I tried it today, I got the tuberose and the nutty facets straight away, the vanilla. It smelled cozy perhaps like an embrace, delicate, it just smells nice, with a gentle aura. Fast forward to now. 25 year old me loves this. It's beautiful. I guess becoming a mom matured me. My tastes changed a lot. I foolishly ignored trying this delicious scent for the longest time for reasons that are beyond me. To my nose Organza shares a huge amount with Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique essence EDP but is less sweet by comparison. I’d say Organza is a more spicy & mature alternative.

The current version is more linear vanillic and less musky floral compared to the vintage, but it is still recognizably Organza. Vintage reigns supreme, but I wouldn't say the contemporary formula is a complete disaster either. It's love either way. Organza is opulent yet delicate (think golden organza fabric), sensual yet classy, a gorgeous, stunning, and mature perfume with so much character. That being said, I have been complimented many times on this, in part, I think, because it simply projects and lasts for ages, and it’s pleasant to smell. The green here is that of spring, enveloping gardenia and then you have that magical pinch of nutmeg.Organza is well blended and sophisticated. I don't think it's dated, but a person interested in light aquatic scents probably wouldnt' get on well with this perfume. It's an arid, nutty, spiced dream you're nearly awake - still languid. The list of all ingredients used in the composition of our products may be subject to change as European regulations evolve. Like Amarige, Organza is not the scent for someone with a faint heart. I assumed, wrongly, that this would be easy to pull off. The dark red juice alone should've been a tip off. I love flowers, especially white flowers (I'm a big tuberose fan) and I need sweetness, as fragrances do tend to sour on my skin. Such an elegant scent! It opens up a bit sharp and powdery but as the day progresses it becomes more and more woody and soft. I love it. It's complex and unique, and doesn't feel dated at all.

The owner very kindly allowed me to try some on. Turns out it was a smart move. I couldn’t get it out of my head and had to return the next day to get it.
