About this deal

I’m not sure there’s much scarier than a Phyrexian Dinosaur, and the card reflects that. An uncounterable seven-mana 8/8 with trample, haste, and ward 4 is pretty frightening.

Anyway, if you like these three colors, unorthodox mechanics, and stealing opponents’ cards, Ixhel looks like an amazing commander for you. Corrupting Influence

As the face card of the set, it’s no surprise that Elesh Norn’s new incarnation is one of its most powerful Legendary creatures as well. Doubling the effects of cards is a dangerous thing to do in any context, and Elesh Norn does just that for enters-the-battlefield triggers, one of the most common sources of value in the Commander format. Slaughter Singer helps push our creatures through and Bloated Contaminator is an absolute beating for three mana. Now that we have looked at the Collector Booster, let's look closer at each treatment and where we can find these cards.

So, what does Phyrexia: All Will Be One have to add into the pot? There are a few options — the flashiest being Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, which works wonders with all your enters-the-battlefield creatures. All Will Be One’s commanders are interesting from a flavor standpoint because a lot of legendary creatures are characters we previously saw on our last trip to the plane in New Phyrexia. Heroic characters like Venser and Slobad have now been corrupted, adding to the horror of Phyrexia. It’s clear that even a heroic sacrifice won’t spare characters from being compleated and used as weapons against their old friends. If I’m creating token copies of every one of my creatures that dies, there has to be some kind of tomfoolery that I can do with Mondrak. And if those tokens are going away at some point, they can just serve to put more indestructible counters on Mondrak. The only real downside is that its ability exiles cards, so you need to be okay with a bit of risk when playing it. #21. Zopandrel, Dominus of Hunger Traditional foil commons – Here, you will get 4 of the 101 commons from ONE's Draft and Set Boosters. This makes the game plan incredibly simple: once we’ve given a single Poison counter to our opponent, all we want to do is cast as many spells as we can each turn. Allowing you to draw a card each time you proliferate adds value to any proliferate card and helps keep your hand full of answers. #14. Otharri, Suns’ Glory You can find 12 of these tokens, the emblem, and the poison counter helper card in Draft and Set Boosters; in Collector Boosters, you'll find these as double-sided tokens in traditional foil. (Poison counter helper cards are not available in Collector Boosters. The Phyrexian Germ token created by Tangleweave Armor can only be found in Set and Collector Boosters, just like Tangleweave Armor.)With this many commanders it only makes sense that they aren’t all equally powerful. Some legendary creatures are also designed to be used in Limited or other Constructed formats, but have less potential as a commander. #36. Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer One of the cards that I think is going to have the biggest impact on the format, Clever Concealment has some folks calling it the next Teferi’s Protection. I won’t go that far, but it’s quite strong. Because it has convoke and our creatures can help pay the mana cost, we can be tapped out mana-wise and still cast the spell. We just need four untapped creatures (with two of them being some flavor of white). From there, we can phase out any number of nonland permanents we control. Our lands, and more importantly our life total, are not protected. Four mana 3/3 is mediocre, but we aren’t playing commanders for their stats, are we? The more important part of the cards are its abilities. While Prava of the Steel Legion isn’t the best commander on its own, it doesn’t have to be. There are some good pairings that help you take advantage of Prava’s abilities thanks to partner. One of the most popular pairings is with Ikra Shidiqui, the Usurper since these two can gain you a lot of life together. #22. Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant
