Description

There are different aspects of Henry vacuums that come with a class rating. Energy Efficiency is one, suction another. There may be more. As a general rule, Class A is the best you can buy. A Traditional Henry has an Energy Class A rating, for example. Other Considerations to Make Before Buying a Henry Vacuum Cleaner Then there’s James, perfect for a professional job. Charles is a whizz at wet cleaning, whilst George makes carpet shampoo and deep cleaning a doddle. Don’t forget Henry Eco — tough on mess, high on energy efficiency — or Henry Cordless, whose whole-house runtime will never let you down. If you want the no-nonsense design of a Henry vacuum combined with the convenience of cordless, the HVB160 is an option to consider. It’s more expensive than the corded Henry and doesn’t have the longest run-time, but the strong suction and large capacity mean it’s much better suited to heavy cleaning than most cordless models. Another of Numatic’s wet vacuum cleaners is the Charles. It’s less expensive than the George and doesn’t come with quite as many accessories, but is still a powerful and versatile vacuu m that’s suitable for both domestic and professional cleaning.

For people with pets in their homes both the Henry Pet and Harry would be better options than the original Henry, whilst George and Charles are also more favourable than Henry if you want a wet and dry vacuum. In Britain the Hoover became synonymous with the word vacuum cleaner. Around about the same time as this was happening (the mid-80’s) was when Henry vacuum cleaners were first making a rise. We will forever have the Henry as a result. What’s the best Henry for dog and cat hair? The biggest difference is that the Xtra comes with two additional floor heads. The first is the Henry Hoover Airobrush, which is designed for removing more dirt and dust from carpets. A hard floor brush is also included. Aside from the new floor tools, the Xtra is also more energy efficient. In the dry it has a hefty storage capacity of 15 litres and a wide range of attachments means it can switch effortlessly between different tasks. It really is a vacuum which can rise to meet just about every challenge you can think of. In short: no. The only differences are that the Hetty comes in a fetching pink colour scheme and has a set of eyelashes. Aside from that, the Henry and Hetty are exactly the same. There’s also a number of Henry models with their own selling points, such as the Henry Xtra – a slide upgrade on Henry due to his extra tools – Henry Allergy, Henry Wash and Henry Micro. And then there’s the wildcard Henry Cordless option, the only cord-free vacuum available from the Henry range. Hetty smiles just as much as Henry, and in terms of performance is just as able. Hetty has a highly efficient motor, a 10 metre cable and rewind storage system, and comes with a host of useful accessories. Hi Sean, yes I agree it’s frustrating. Hopefully some of the missing models will make their way here soon. Reply Henry’s little sister is Hetty. She comes with all the same features as Henry, but the introduction of Eco technology helps you to save the planet and your wallet at the same time. A smaller size means she’s easier to store, but a 9-litre bag capacity, means there’s plenty of dust storage room.

Hetty Hoover is the female equivalent of the well-known Henry Hoover, but other than appearance there is actually no difference between Henry and Hetty, at least if we’re talking the standard Henry model. Hetty is pink in colour – and can be referred to as the pink Henry Hoover – whereas Henry comes in traditional red. She has her name printed on the top and comes complete with her own pretty eyelashes, but that is the only difference when compared to the Henry 160-11 model. Hetty has the same capacity, power and weight. Another factor that allows James to be smaller is the cable tidy that can be found on the top of his head, which means you can manually wind the cable by hand. Where James stands out over the rest of the Henry Hoover range is the unique caddy tray that can also be found on the top of his head, providing a great storage place for his attachments that includes the crevice tool and the upholstery brush. The James has many of the same features as the Henry. The eight litre dust capacity is one litre smaller, but it’s still one of the largest cylinders on the domestic market. It also has an A-rating for energy efficiency, HepaFlo bags and a number of accessories. However, while it’s designed for the wet, this also excels in the dry. An impressive 15 litre storage capacity when dry makes it an ideal option for professional cleaners, but it is also light at only 7.1kgs and will be easy to get around the home. Some people prefer the ability to wind the cable in and James allows you to do that. He also has a caddy in which he can nicely store away and attachments. A plugged cable means it is pretty easy to replace the mains cable.Harry has a large bag capacity but many similarities to Henry, he’s just got some extra pet tools that makes him an option if you have furry friends in your home.

The Harry is the best in the range for cleaning up pet hair. It comes with a special brush attachment meant to lift hair and an activated charcoal filter which will draw out dirt and neutralize foul smelling pet pongs. Where do Henry Vacuums come from? Over the years, Numatic has introduced a range of new models, such as the George, James and Hetty. These have similar designs but very different functions and strengths. Hetty never misses a spot. The Crevice Tool is perfect for those awkward spots, whilst the Dusting Tool provides appropriate levels of care to delicate surfaces like shelves, ornaments and picture frames. Another popular model in the Henry Hoover range is the Harry. While it has many of the same features, it’s specifically designed for people with pets (hence the paw print). He offers two useful features. The first is a dual purpose hairo-brush which is fantastic for scrubbing off stubborn pet hairs and other stains, the second is a carbon filter designed to combat unpleasant smells. The MicroFresh filter activated charcoal filter will minimise the bad smells your pets can create. With a 9 litre capacity, TriTex filtration system and HepaFlo bags, the Numatic Hetty HET200 has the same features as the Henry 200. Like its sibling, the Hetty (also sometimes known as the Henrietta) is a powerful vacuum that’s designed for no-nonsense cleaning. But is there any real difference between the Hetty and Henry? Add to that all the usual benefits of the Henry range such as 9 litre capacity, a sturdy frame and reliable, long-lasting performance and you have the perfect addition for any pet lover’s home. Everyone struggling with storage space needs to consider size limitations before they buy from the Henry vacuum cleaner range. The smaller models will work best for smaller homes – but come with less dust bin capacity. We recommend the Henry Micro for smaller homes. The largest of the Henry vacuums is the George, which is a 4-in-1… although the Charles comes close. Colour & Style It might sound like a complex term regarding suction or energy efficiency, Numatic International are the manufacturers of the Henry. Incidentally, although known as Henry Hoovers, they aren’t Hoovers by brand. litres dry dust bin capacity, which is a huge amount of space. Wet, the Charles holds 9 litres. An easy-to-operate switch goes between the two.
