It was less than 10 Euro for an adult meal but more impressive was the kids meals. For example, you could get the following kids meal for only €5.50 We stayed in nearby Nuremberg which is full of hotels and apartments to rent. What might be an interesting option for the children, is the Playmobil Hotel. Located next to the park, it is a good option if you are planning to spend more than 1 day in the park. Biergarten: Typical beer garten outdoor style (much of which is actually covered though, which is very nice!) The park is made up of “fun” areas that are designed after the many different themes of the Playmobil toys. They have a police headquarters, a Western town, a pirate ship, dinosaurs, tree houses and more. All are things that you can climb on or do some type of fun, imaginative play.

We decided to take B out of Kindergarten on a Friday (I didn’t want to have to deal with a theme park on the weekend in the summer!) but didn’t tell the boys where we were going. I normally can’t stand amusement park prices. From the entrance fees to the price gauging of food and drink, theme parks are often a budget traveler’s (aka ME, aka a Family Traveling!) nightmare. When we were planning our trip to southern Germany, we thought that this would be a perfect place to visit, since we are big fans of the Playmobil toys. I have to say truthfully, though, that I wasn’t completely sure about it. My Concerns about Playmobil Before we Arrived Getting to Playmobil Park is quite easy. First you need to get to Nuremberg which has its own airport with a reasonable selection of low-cost and legacy airlines connections. So, yet again, when I saw the costs of food at the park, I was more than pleasantly surprised! I’m not talking super duper cheap finds, but I am talking 100% in line with eating out in Germany prices.

As awesome as this area was, we decided to only spend a few minutes here because Germany has some pretty stellar playgrounds with similar activities, so instead of spending time on that we wanted to continue on to more unique stuff at Playmobil Land. The breakfast buffet opens before the park does and kids have access to the HOB Center. I’m all about eating in peace while my kids go play!!! The large playground has attractions for all ages. Among the recommended attractions there is a merry-go-round and the called Pacifier Tree, a perfect place where children can climb on and get rid of theirs.

Afterwards, they decided to explore outside the volcano, which is when we found the dinosaurs. They were really a lot of fun. My boys never mention that they particularly like dinosaurs, but when they were faced with some right in front of them, they couldn’t stop saying how “cool” they were. The way to exit the Playmobil Fun Park is via the Playmobil Shop. It also has bathrooms, which were needed before our long drive to the next campground. Playmobil Gift Shop The biggest advantage of this park is, the fact that you can interact with life-size Playmobil figures everywhere. There are no queues and you can simply spend time having fun rather than waiting to have fun. If you go on a warm, summer day, don’t forget hats, sunscreen and extra, swim clothes for the children. A towel might not be a bad idea, if you have a stroller or wagon to put all of your gear. They bathrooms are clean and equipped with baby-changing areas. My boys could actually play with everything there. The fun park really allowed children to use their imaginations, and there were certainly no dull moments for us that day! Playmobil Octa Climbing NetsI was wondering what the best ages for Playmobil were going to be, since some parks are more geared towards younger (Churpfalz) and some towards older clientele (Legoland or Euro Park). Next to the farm was a playground where the boys could climb on a very large net structure. They also had other things to play on, as would any playground. I felt that Playmobil Fun Park was very well-designed.

If you are in Fuengirola area near the Sohail Castle with children, you can’t miss a visit to the Playground Parque de Poniente. Right next to the pirate ships is an area where kids can climb on some more structures and even dig for “treasures” (pay a Euro and get a little treasure box to “collect” your booty in!) Tip #9: Got Wet Clothes? No Problem! Use the Dryers! This natural space has many walking trails, benches where resting and bike lanes that run through the entire park. One of the elements that are an eye-catcher for children is the natural shrubbery labyrinth with 50 meters in diameter, don’t get lost. If you could imagine one, huge, giant water table for kids to play in, this is kind of like that. With multiple “streams” of water, there was a higher level area (for kids over 3) that had pirate ships galore and a separate 3 and under area, which had Noah’s Ark and was more easily reachable for littler bodies. Tip #10: Do All The Water Activities Together

Admission to the FunPark only possible with valid online ticket!

Dig for gold or ride in a runaway horse drawn carriage as you step into the “Wild West.” Farm and Tractor Rally The name of the park ‘The Battery’ comes because there was an Anti-aircraft battery during the Spanish Civil War. Actually the battery and the bunker are restored and it is a curious place you can visit. Our children had a lot of fun in the medieval castle as they could go up and down the towers, explore the inside or climb the outside walls. There was even an underground tunnel to explore. Conqueror in action The restaurant in the main indoor area is also serving breakfast. To our surprise it was quite popular in the morning. Clearly the Germans do like to start their day early ?

We were very close to the castle, but we couldn’t tell. It was hidden. The map also suggested that we were near some slides, but they too were hidden. They boys had a great time exploring to find both. They found the slides first and had to try each one. Slides Although this botanical garden does not focus exclusively on children, is a place they will enjoy without any doubt. A walk within a park with more than 250.000 subtropical species brought during 150 years. This meant that we had much of a day to spend there, but we knew we couldn’t stay from open to close. We tried to make the most of our time, and we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to have a great day and experience most of everything. Parking with a Camper at Playmobil Fun Park You can get there by car and use the public parking or the commuter train. Take in consideration that you will need patience for parking on weekends. Maybe prefer getting there by train? It is next to the train stop. The park is close to the subway station next to Palacio de Deportes (Sports Palace) and the private Quiron Hospital.
