She must decide if she will risk her life to bring the killer to justice simply to claim the reward, or if she should leave the task to someone more experience, more willing, and more trusting than she will ever be able to trust herself after her difficult and harrowing past. I’ve always enjoyed reading but only lately started reading your books now I’m so hooked. I’m working on completing my collection. Thank you Reply As Warr digs into Rodney's past, Ridley calls pleading for help, now accused of a murder he insists he didn't commit. This is tense, gripping and completely addictive. I have felt as though I have been watching the events of this one play out. This is realistic and believable, guaranteed to send shivers down the spine of the reader.

Advance Praise

This is my first Lynda La Plante book in decades and sadly, I have to say I won’t be rushing to read any others. Read all your books! Fantastic! Definitely my favourite author by far. Just finished Unholy Murder which was brilliant. Can’t wait to start Judas Horse now. Reply

Just not for me, I’ve read far more exciting murder/police procedural books by much less acclaimed writers (to date), such as Neil Lancaster & Charlie Gallagher that leave this book looking like a ‘Midsomer Murder’. To catch a monster and exonerate his friend, Warr must weed out the lies. But what awaits Warr if he uncovers the truth? About This Edition ISBN: It’s concerning how they barely mention the fact that it’s riddled with rape or perhaps statutory rape of minors. It only focuses on missing girls and murders. I have lived in China for the past 2O years,so getting English novels is not easy, although found odd ones on the internet here. So,my sister posts some to me,probably buys in Waterstones. Last year she sent a couple of your books, this year a couple more, including WIDOWS REVENGE,but this is the second one in the series,so cannot read it yet I am now hooked on them, have you any idea where they are available here. I am a 77 year old avid reader with a Chinese wife.I am preparing a new list to send to her, but if you have any idea where they may be available in China, would be great. I live in Suzhou City, about 60 miles inland from Shanghai. ReplyAs Warr digs into Middleton's past, Ridley calls pleading for help, now accused of a murder he insists he didn't commit. My thanks to Bonnier Books U.K. Zaffre for an eARC via NetGalley of ‘Pure Evil’ by Lynda La Plante. We have a swap letterbox library locally as the public library has been closed due to Covid. I borrowed one of your books Lynda called Blind Fury is was great having never read your books before I am hooked, just finished reading Unholy Murder that was fantastic. My next is Blunt Force keep up the great writing. Reply She formed her own television production company, La Plante Productions, in 1994 and as La Plante Productions she wrote and produced the sequel to Widows, the equally gutsy She's Out (ITV, 1995). The name "La Plante" comes from her marriage to writer Richard La Plante, author of the book Mantis and Hog Fever. La Plante divorced Lynda in the early 1990s. I don’t have the patience to see if her writing style stays the same, I’m going to presume it does.
