PVA and Uses With Timber

An important point to make is If the surface you are working on is external and likely to be washed with rain regularly, PVA is not the best product to use. For external use we recommend using SBR Bond which is much stronger and also stable in Freeze-Thaw conditions. Please also see our project on Freeze and Thaw action. Sofas & Sofa Beds Chairs & Footstools Tables Storage & Home Throws Rugs Dining Chairs Dining Table Sets Cooking & Dining We essentially want to apply 2 coats of PVA at a 3:1 ratio to our walls. You apply the first coat, wait for it to completely dry and then apply the second coat. The second coat is slightly different. The first step is to inspect the floor and remove any dried concrete that appears on the surface. If you have paint splatters dried in then you are going to want to remove those as well as these will cause issues with the PVA. You can scrape it off for a smooth surface, If you are finding it hard to remove paint marks or blotches then you will need to use a paint stripper before moving onto the next step. 2.
