Reviews

Queen’s Greatest Hits III, rarely available on vinyl, features their latter-day songs, the band members’ solo hits and the band’s collaborations with other artists including Elton John, Montserrat Caballé, George Michael and Wyclef Jean. Matrix / Runout (Runout side B Variant 2): BL41725-01 B1 5704842 1=⊥ MILES.ABBEYROAD1/2SPEED.ROOM30. The inclusion of Innuendo and Made in Heaven as a 2LP was a great decision, and we finally have both of them complete on vinyl. George Michael + Queen - Somebody To Love (Live, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert For AIDS Awareness, Wembley, April 1992) Living up to its name, The Platinum Collection was recently certified by the UK music industry organisation the BPI as having gone 8 x Platinum, representing sales of 2.4 million achieved since its June 2011 re-release as part of Queen’s 40th-anniversary celebrations.

Queen / The Platinum Collection 6LP coloured vinyl box set

Queen’s ‘The Platinum Collection’ to be released on vinyl for the first time as a limited-edition 6LP colour vinyl box George Michael + Queen – Somebody To Love (Live, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert For AIDS Awareness, Wembley, April 1992) George Michael & Queen – Somebody To Love (Live, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert For AIDS Awareness, Wembley, April 1992) Rebooted and rewired, Queen produced some of their most immortal hits during this imperial Eighties phase. Built around an improvised studio jam, their infectious David Bowie collaboration Under Pressure became a global chart-topping smash. The retro-futurist epic Radio Gaga and the humorously romantic I Want To Break Free stand as testaments to their early mastery of synthesizers, while the muscular ripcord riffs of Hammer To Fall and octave-vaulting grand-piano acrobatics of It's a Hard Life are vintage Queen both sonically and lyrically.Matrix / Runout (Runout side C Variant 2): BL41725-02 C1 5704843 MILES.ABBEYROAD1/2SPEED.ROOM30. 3IX The different colours look amazing. The choices they used were fantastic, though I just wish they made Queen II 45rpm instead of two etchings. They are still pretty cool so I'll let it slide. Bought this wonderful item in 2015 at an now closed vinyl shop. And discovered just now that the Made in Heaven LP has 2 Roger Taylor posters and no Brian May… ugh Queen’s ‘The Platinum Collection’ is released on vinyl for the first time as a limited-edition 6LP colour vinyl box set, TODAY, June 17th through EMI
