Like the earlier pinpoint sight, the Red Dot Sight is a tactical rail accessory designed to resemble modern reflex sights. It uses a red LED light that gets reflected as a visible dot in the lens' sight, hence its name. There is a switch on the side of the sight to turn the dot on and off. Additionally, the lens features printed crosshairs on it which allow the user to aim even if the sight is turned off. The Red Dot Sight is a Nerf tactical rail accessory that was released in 2015 under the N-Strike Modulus series. It requires two "AAA" batteries to be operated. Not to be confused with the 2008 N-Strike/N-Strike Elite pinpoint sight or the 2017 RIVAL Red Dot Sight.
