Moustache EdP is, at the closest, a highly abstract take on the original. With sweet mandarin in place of the reference sharp citruses and amped-up vanilla in the base (and, I suspect, some uncredited cashmeran), it’s a nearly gourmand interpretation of Moustache. Which is to say, barely Moustache at all. Change the name and bottle, and you have a perfectly nice scent—warm, smooth, and passably naturalistic as modern woody ambers go. Mandarin and Pink Berries sketch a fruity, spicy and intriguing line… Both a cheeky nod and a promise, it is spirited, enticing and exhilarating. Addictive? You will never have enough. Smells amazing, and doesn’t last more than 5-6 hours. Leans more on the unisex side but still wearable as a man. Very smooth ambery rose creaminess. Sophisticated, elegant, and subtle.

The pepper is the most immediately noticeable note. It bounces off my skin and smells spicy. Furthermore, the mandarian orange is also present. However, it doesn’t add a zingy burst like you’d expect. Instead, it’s a little more subdued, adding some fresh brightness to the pepper. But where does this amazing virility come from? The woody notes of course, which structure the whole composition… It’s deep, thrilling and hot to the touch. It is available as a 75 and 125 ml Eau de Parfum. Firstly let’s cover the notes. It contains pepper, orange, cedar, rose, vanilla, benzoin, and patchouli. Patchouli brings the camphoric accent of its damp roots, emphasized by Oriental Benzoin and Vanilla.
