In summary, the Scarlett Solo and Scarlett 2i2 are the smallest two models from Focusrite’s flagship Scarlett series. Both are equally competent in playing the role they have been designed to, and the primary difference is that the Solo (true to its name) offers one Preamp while the Scarlett 2i2 offers two. Awesome bit of kit, with high quality studio class sound reproduction. For precision build, superior quality, Focusrite ! Your interface is now ready to use! If you're using recording software then make sure you select the Focusrite ASIO driver in the audio settings for that software. The 3 rd Gen’s inputs offer impressive headroom, making recording line-level instruments cleaner and easier than ever before. Balanced TRS outputs also eliminate speaker hum, while Focusrite’s iconic gain halos light up to indicate input levels, making it easy to get distortion-free recordings. Included Software

The original studio-quality 2-in, 2-out interface, has been remastered for the artist. Two of our most detailed ultra-low-noise mic pres. Hi-Z and super-high-quality line inputs for guitars, keys and synths. Studio-grade converters, with a huge 120dB dynamic range that matches what you'd find in a pro studio. Fixed an issue that could cause glitching on systems with some older AMD processors (Phenom-II, FX and Athlon series). GenerationThe world’s most popular audio interfaces – remastered. Incredible sounding preamps. Colossal dynamic range. Re-engineered Air mode for big studio sound. Auto Gain and Clip Safe for perfect takes every time. And all the software you need to make a hit record. UK manufacturer Focusrite has made world-class mic preamps for decades. The 3 rd Generation’s mic pre is the best to ever feature in the Scarlett range. Expect a warm, dynamic response that’ll take care of any instrument with ease.

Just works out of the box. Bought it to output VIs live from Gig Performer - simple. Small and light. x 6.35 mm headphone output on the front panel with adjustable volume. Except the Scarlett 2i2 has a dedicated volume knob for this. So you have separate sources and signal-path to control the output of the headphone and master outs. You can use the CM25 MkIII for almost anything, but you’ll love how it sounds on vocals and guitars thanks to its bright and detailed character.

Added the ability to choose whether 48V is retained after restarting Scarlett 3rd Generation interfaces. Fixed an issue that could cause glitching when using more than one ASIO application at the same time.Includes Ableton Live Lite, three months of Pro Tools Artist, and the Hitmaker Expansion, with plugins from Antares, Softube, Landr, XLN Audio and more. Both interfaces are near-identical in the manner in which they are constructed. The aluminum casing gives you an instant sense of reliability. The buttons and ports are meticulously assembled. All cables feel secure when connected, and overall the interfaces feel really good to handle. Hi-Z instrument inputs, just like you’d find on an amp, make guitars sound great for DI’s and amp sims.

Easy to use, comes with great instructions and advice, fairly intuitive to use even after just a few hours use. Both the Scarlett Solo and Scarlett 2i2 are bus-powered audio interfaces. For newbies who don't know what that means, they are powered by your computer via a USB connection. So you don’t need an extra power supply. Additionally, their patented 'Air' mode adds a unique high-end detail for vocal recordings. This results in an organic, breathy quality to the voice. Giving them that posh, professional vibe. It adds massively to portability and convenience. All you need is your laptop and one of these, and you're good to go! Cons: It takes the input signal on the interface and sends it straight to the headphones and line outputs on the device. The signal is still sent to your DAW software, allowing the input to be recorded at the same time.
