About this deal

The variant appeared on the Robots video game and the GBA and NDS ports of Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, while the next logo was on the actual films. The Logo programming language was, in many ways, the most important inspiration for Scratch. Developed by Seymour Papert, Cynthia Solomon, and others, Logo was the first programming language designed specifically for children. With Logo, children could create graphical patterns and artwork by writing programs to control the movements of a “turtle” (see below). Logo was based on Seymour’s “constructionist” approach to learning, which emphasized the importance of children creating and making things based on their interests. I began working with Seymour when I arrived at MIT in 1983, and I was deeply influenced by his ideas. Monroy-Hernandez, Andres; Hill, Benjamin Mako; Gonzalez-Rivero, Jazmin; Boyd, Danah (2011). The precedence of the animated character to the discovery of the real animal is an example of what is known as the "Dim Effect". [13] Controversy [ edit ] Scrat is voiced in all Ice Age feature films and short films by director Chris Wedge, only directly interacting with the story's main characters on eight occasions, mostly with Sid. In a special feature in the second film's DVD, his name has been stated to be a mix of the words " squirrel" and " rat", his species allegedly believed to have been a common ancestor of both. In the Ice Age DVD commentary, he is referred to as "The Scrat" by directors Wedge and Carlos Saldanha.

Scrat is searching for a new acorn and founds out about the existence of Cristals acorns. He starts to search them and fights with Manny, Sid and Diego's old enemies like Maelstrom and Cretaceous, Carl and Frank and Rudy, he even has to fight a giant pterodattile. At the end he enters in a temple and gets kidnapped by another space ship which reveals to be commanded by a Scratazon. An example holiday logo, shown on Christmas. The logo was made by Chrischb in 2009. A more advanced visual programming language inspired by Scratch is Snap !, featuring first class procedures (their mathematical foundations are called also lambda calculus), first-class lists (including lists of lists), and first-class truly object-oriented sprites with prototyping inheritance, and nestable sprites, which are not part of Scratch. [84] Snap ! (previously "BYOB") was developed by Jens Mönig [85] [86] with documentation provided by Brian Harvey [87] [88] from University of California, Berkeley and has been used to teach "The Beauty and Joy of Computing" introductory course in CS for non-CS-major students. [89] Both of them were members of the Scratch Team before designing "Snap !". [90] [26] ScratchJr Trips and bumps between the sphere and the solid outer core, creating a Scrat-like Moai, a Scrat Sphinx (which loses its nose when it falls off), and 4 Scrat faces on Mount Rushmore. Variant: Sometimes, the logo appears in a white oval. It's probably a prototype variant of the next logo. Bennett, Tara (April 13, 2022). He jams his acorn into a hole in the middle of the collection, which shatters the pile and with it the entire continent – which begins the continental drift. [ citation needed] In the second film, No Time for Nuts, Scrat finds a time machine left by a time-traveler and visits several historical events. He becomes trapped in a frightening future when oak trees have become extinct but somehow manages to return to the series' time period. [ citation needed] Mönig, Jens (31 May 2011). In the film's epilogue, Scrat discovers the island on the map, known as Scratlantis (a parody of Atlantis), but his uncontrollable urge to hunt acorns in the acorn-rich city inadvertently causes the entire island to sink when he unplugs an acorn drain holder; Scrat is then ejected into a newly created desert landscape, through which he screams.
