We have a Toshiba dehumidifier unit. It started draining water on the basement floor. Did everything suggested in the blog and tonight I set the unit in an old plastic tray 18×22 to see how much water drains out. This unit is at least 1-2 years old. This is the first problem we have had with it. To clean your dehumidifier’s air filter, remove it from the unit and rinse it out. LEt it dry completely before re-fitting it in the dehumidifier. This SHINCO 10-litre dehumidifier is perfect for restoring healthy humidity levels in rooms up to 15 m², and is particularly effective in poorly ventilated rooms such as basements and bathrooms. It also does a very good job of eliminating water condensation on walls and windows. We have used this dehumidifier for a while, and I have to say that I am impressed with it. It is very easy to set up and run from the box. The biggest surprise was how quiet the unit was. I use it in my basement, which is usually a wet area. Working now is very comfortable. It’s a 70-pint unit and built-in pump, so I don’t have to bring a water tray up and down the stairs. I set it once for the desired humidity level in the basement, and when that level was reached, it quietly opened and closed. The display is bright and easy to see even in the dark. Last thing, you can set the humidity level to what ever number you want. It didn’t raise my electric bill at all.

For the price, this product does everything expected and nothing more than expected.The unit was a little noisier than I expected, but still within comfort parameters. Very quiet. Easy to use. Small compared to our old dehumidifier. The water collection tank is a little small, so I use the hose drain – which works great! It consistently keeps our large basement between 40-45% humidity which is quite comfortable and never smells musty or damp with this dehumidifier running.
