About this deal

I am doing some prep work to make dandelion soap! Can’t wait, it is so beautiful! I was wondering how you dry your petals? Do you cut off the bud when drying the petals? I have some drying but I did not cut off the bud and the flowers close up. Thanks!

Pour the soap mixture into the prepared mould and cover with old towels if the mould does not have a lid. The soap needs to be kept insulated for 24 hours. Clear up, wash up and wait!I love this part! If you have a microwave safe bowl, a knife, and a microwave – you have all you need as far as tools go. You can even use a double boiler instead of a microwave if you are so inclined. If you have a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol that’s also a plus. You can use it to remove surface bubbles and help separate layers weld together on multi-part layered designs. https://youtu.be/FTcnD1etGKs Video can’t be loaded because JavaScript is disabled: How to Customize Melt & Pour Soap (https://youtu.be/FTcnD1etGKs) Beginner’s Soap; Instant Gratification! In addition to my questions below, I have one other. I have a bunch of small yogurt containers that I think would make great sample soaps. Although you can squeeze the sides of the cups, the top is stiffer. I am just wondering if you have used Yogurt containers and if they work OK? Just not sure if I would have trouble getting the soap out, or if there is something I can do to make it easier to get the soap out. If (similar to us) you are in the weird habit of reading the label on your shower gel while taking a shower, you might have noticed that sodium chloride is almost always on the ingredient list. When the oils and the lye solution temperatures are around 100 °F (38 °C) and within ten degrees of one another, it's time to mix. Silicone soap molds are easy to work with but plastic works too. The mold just needs to be somewhat flexible to allow the cooled hardened soap to pop out. It also needs to be able to hold its shape depending on the heat of the melted soap and weight if pouring a large piece. 10 Steps to the Perfect Melt and Pour Soap Bar Side note on testing: GC/MS is chromatography and mass spectrometry testing. As in NCIS Abby-style testing! OK, I just nerded out a little there. 😉

Although you don’t need full overalls, at the very least you will need safety glasses, protective gloves and an apron. These will protect your skin, eyes and clothing from any unwanted caustic splashes. Kitchen paper towels, cloths and hot water Yay! Soapmaking is addictive…but it’s a useful addiction, especially at Christmas time :) As for your questions: I’m very sorry but I don’t have a liquid face soap recipe available. My liquid hand soap recipe is over here: https://lovelygreens.com/how-to-make-liquid-hand-soap/An all-natural DIY bar soap made using the hot process method makes this fast and ready to use the same day. Normal (well kind of - it's purified and deionized) water. Usually the main solvent in cosmetic products.
