About this deal

Also with the Sinugator only holding 250ml it means that you have to do one side ( I pre-mix a 500ml solution ready in a glass measuring jug) and then whilst that side is dripping open it up and pour another 250ml in the device to do the other side. Repeating the process for each nostril is fine except, as mentioned, this machine has to be kept upright to ensure that all the contents goes where it is needed. Step 1: Please wash your hands. Fill the clear blue reservoir with 240 mL (8 fl oz) volume of distilled, microfiltered (0.2 micron), commercially bottled or previously boiled & cooled down water at lukewarm or body temperature. Please do not use tap or faucet water for dissolving the mixture unless it has been previously boiled and cooled down. The build quality of the Sinugator seemed adequate for the job. It is a little heavy and cumbersome, but that is because I'm used to holding just the "wand" (tip) of the Sinupulse machine I also have. Being an "all in one" type device it is also a little restrictive in how you can position your head and lean as the machine itself has t o remain upright to ensure that all the liquid is used when it is running. Tipping it sideways will leave liquid still in the blue water container.

Step 3: Standing in front of a sink, bend forward to your comfort level and tilt your head down. Keeping your mouth open, without holding your breath, place the tip snugly against your right nasal passage or nostril. Press the blue power button until the solution starts draining from your left nasal passage. Depending on the head position, residual solution may drain from your mouth. We suggest to spit it out, however, there is no harm, if accidentally swallowed. For a proper rinse, keep pressing the power button until at least 1/4 to 1/2 (60 mL to 120 mL or 2 to 4 fl oz) of the solution is used for one nostril. Stop pressing the power button if you feel any discomfort, pain or pressure during the irrigation. Even when your nose isn’t stopped up, nasal irrigation tools can help to clean out dirt, irritants, and allergens from the nose, says Dr. Roheen Raithatha, an ENT doctor at ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP. While not all doctors we spoke to think a nasal irrigation system is necessary for everyday use, they all said it can come in handy for symptoms like allergic rhinitis or chronic sinusitis. Finding the right tool for you, however, can be difficult. To help you find the best sinus rinse or neti pot for combatting congestion, I consulted a panel of experts and tested some recommendations below. It can also be used to control nasal dryness and irritation caused by house dust, fumes, grass, pollen, smoke, or animal dander. Benefits for you This mist was the easiest of all the methods I tried because it doesn’t require any prep before use. The pressurized can is ready to go out of the box and comes with three different tip attachments for misting, spraying, and rinsing. The attachments allow for varying pressures, misting being the least amount and rinsing being the most. After trying out all three, it seems that the misting and spraying tips are good for everyday use but less effective for when I was stopped up. On a day I had a stuffy nose, I tried out the rinsing tip, and it helped clear me out almost instantly. Because the tips are detachable, they can be cleaned after every use as recommended.

It probably is the best of what they could make for it to be a portable device. If the blue tank was increased in capacity to 500ml it would probably then be too big to handle, but having got the Sinupulse I do enjoy just having a large tank and then the "wired" wand to apply up to 750ml of pre-mixed water as needed. The flexibility of the wand and its capacity is great, but it costs so much more. Wash hands and fill the clear blue reservoir with 240 ml (8fl oz) of distilled, micro filtered (0.2 micron), commercially bottled or previously boiled & cooled down water at lukewarm or body temperature. Do not use tap or faucet water for dissolving the mixture unless it has been previously boiled and cooled down. I know that I have mentioned it but it is important not to use tap water but to use pre-boiled and cooled water, due to possible infections.
