About this deal

It sounds like the pump that pulls the water up is possibly faulty. Sometimes if you keep pressing it, the water will come through. I have found it can take a few pumps to get it going, especially if it hasn’t been used for a while. My Sonicare just started a rythmic patterned signal in the cradle and doesn’t respond to the off /on button. What’s up? Reply I personally don’t put a cap on my brush head unless traveling. I just keep it out of the ‘splash’ zones in bathrooms. Philips does not list that model (maybe it was years beyond its shelf-life at the store?). It has one button and two indicator lights. Despite this, I think it would be worth a call or chat with Sonicare for extra piece of mind and to get a final answer on the matter. Reply

Turn the toothbrush on with a brush head attached. Slowly place the handle onto the charging stand (connected to power). The obvious difference with the 4000 Series is the handle is slimmer and lighter than the ProtectiveClean family of toothbrushes. Do also be aware that many existing Sonicare toothbrushes actually offer up to 62,000 movements. None of these models do. It’s a really close call when it comes to the features here, as both brands offer a multitude of advanced functions. We think Sonicare has the edge, due to the fact that the Smart 9500 built-in pressure sensor informs you when you are brushing too hard. This toothbrush is also designed to supplement your dental regime, as the Sonicare is designed to whiten while brushing. Oral B vs Sonicare: BenefitsMy sonicare acts like it’s charging but keeps vibrating in Morse code. Even when I take it off the charger. Reply

To deactivate the Quadpacer: press and hold the Personalised Brushing button for 5 seconds. You hear 1 beep to indicate that the Quadpacer has been deactivated. As the names imply, low is a more gentle and less vigorous brushing sensation. This option is ideally suited for new electric brush users or those with sensitivity in the teeth or gums. I don’t have the data to specify exactly, but, in my opinion, the low setting of the 4100 feels more like the high setting on the 1100, 2100 and 3100.

This feature indicates when you are supposed to move onto the next section of your teeth via a brief change in vibration. These changes are normal. The toothbrush will automatically turn off at the end of the brushing session. It sounds very odd Alyssa, but it could be worth discharging the brush completely, so the battery goes flat. Then recharge it. It may just fix it. No guarantee, but nothing to really lose. Reply

I think it is important to try and clarify which brush you had and have received. Did you have/own the ProtectiveClean 4100 or the 4100 Series? I know the numbers are the same, but the models are different. The sensor is running all the time and will activate every time you apply too much force, unless it is disabled.I believe I have an older SoniCare Toothbrush. Its on/off button has three lights, which appear to somehow control the operation of the toothbrush. It has a full charge. If you see battery indication blink white once and hear3 tones high to low, then the feature has been deactivated. Sorry to bother, I have a single light Sonicare setup on Express clean, when the toothbrush beeps to switch positions in your mouth. My problem is I can’t remember how to turn off that cleaning mode because the brush will shut off after one cycle after one beep. Reply
