I love every bit and pieces of it. The beginning. The middle. The ending. The words. The sentences. The paragraphs. The chapters. The book. I love it. I love Soulmates so much. I highly recommend it and of course, it's added on my all-time-favorites list!I usually find myself nodding in agreement whenever her characters express their thoughts and I often pause to copy excerpts. They reconcile and sparks fly, it was exhilarating to read and know they love each other but they don't know themselves. Definitely a slow burn but insta connection. I am happy with how it ended and the closure and growth of the characters. But then Nate does what everyone else in Hannah’s life seems to do—he leaves her, claiming they have nothing in common. He and all her friends are newly obsessed with K-pop and K-dramas, and Hannah is not. After years of trying to embrace the American part and shunning the Korean side of her Korean American identity to fit in, Hannah finds that’s exactly what now has her on the outs.

First. I hate most of the characters. They are very annoying especially Poppy’s friends. I hate Ruth for being an insensitive bitch. She’s narcissistic, and in her narcissism, she thinks that everybody give a damn about her and as if she can get ay guy she wanted. I hate her attitude towards her friends because she keeps on putting them down instead of helping them boost their self-esteem. I also hate her for saying that if Poppy won’t sleep with Noah; a lot of girls would love to take her place. I mean, you don’t need to give everything to a guy to make him stay. Now, I'm not much of a British author reader and reading this book makes me realise what i miss out on because of this. This book is so cute and whilst American authors create a romantic dream, Bourne manages to keep her book very grounded and close to reality. This is done extremely well through Poppy's friends and I couldn't help but think of my friends whilst reading this book. They are kinda similar. But also poor Frank! The love hate relationship with him and Poppy is too obvious...but he isn't Poppy's type and we can't argue with that if she doesn't see it. Sally Hepworth continues to be one of my favorite go-to authors! And this latest didn’t disappoint! Hope you’ll enjoy it too! the plot makes no sense. it is repetitive, and boring. why does Jacob realize he doesn't want to act anymore and decide to quit....and then go to the hotel with his manager? he already made up his mind? why does that scene need to happen again? each character realizes they're wrong about a million times and then they realize again a moment later like the first realization never happened.

Narrated by Pippa and Amanda, I enjoyed both stories. I didn’t love the characters, but I didn’t hate them. Hepworth does a solid job of showing not only the good and bad sides of a marriage but also the good and bad sides of the characters. In the beginning, I was more intrigued by Pippa, but by the end, I wanted more of Amanda. honestly, the biggest issue I have is that no one really learns anything. yes, Hannah learns not to change who she is to make others like her, but does she really? or does she just find someone who likes her for who she is? that's different, because it says nothing about how she will act around others. and Jacob learns to put himself first, right? or does he just make the decision everyone wants him to make, quitting the show and being with Hannah. their relationship doesn't "cure" either of them of their insecurities and anxieties, so why does that stuff just disappear by the end? This has to be the world's vaguest review - there's so much I want to say, but can't! Bourne's writing is so good. You feel everything Poppy feels. Her friends are brilliant supporting characters. It's all so real, so true and then there's an injection of the paranormal that takes your breath away. This can't be happening, but it is...

She defies norms and popular culture through her stories and isn’t scared to express her principles through her characters’ thoughts and it’s why I like her. Just take a look at her take on clichés.I feel like this book should come with some kind of warning. At some point, you will cry. Poppy and Noah’s romance is incredible, wonderful and beautiful to read. A book that pulls the reader in from the outset and keeps us guessing all the way to the incredible, heart-wrenching conclusion. I want more from Holly Bourne please.
