The basic idea: you listen to a recording of a Spanish native speaker and, with just a slight delay (1-2 seconds), you repeatwhat that person says. So here’s how most peoplethink learning Spanish (and other languages) works. I call this the construction approach .
As a book that focuses on conversation, it doesn’t include a lot of written exercises to practice grammar concepts. As a book that is focussed on your conversational skills, the printed version includes a CD with listening exercises that you’ll need to use along with the book. Additionally, you’ll find some extra resources in the appendices such as dictionaries, cheat sheets, answer keys and verb tables. One last piece of advice. Complete the exercise with audio only, without reading a transcript at the same time. Using a transcript might be tempting, but you really want to focus on memory and sounds only. The ones who took the advice to heart and use the method to learn Spanish, now have fluent, natural Spanish sentences roll off their tongue, and are happily participating in conversations with native speakers.Tan pronto como ellos hubieron terminado el trabajo, recibieron el dinero.
