About this deal

CarGurus UK Limited, c/o Legalinx Limited, 3rd Floor, 207 Regent St, London W1B 3HH, United Kingdom Yeah, the Dragon kit does look good. Having said that, its 2 or 3 times the price I paid for my Tamiya one, so it bloody well ought to be. Next stage a bit of a clean up and then 😱 😱 make it look like a well used vehicle, not like its just been unloaded off the ship straight from the factory. Since I was cleaning up the mounting posts for the screws, I decided to remove the ones between the rear chassis (under the rear differential). Once removed I added sheet plastic to the area to appear like the smooth bottom of the stowage area: Navy Blue - Worn by the 9/12th Lancers, Army Legal Service, Corp of Army Music, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Royal Engineers, Light Dragoons, Queens Own Yeomanry, Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Royal Corps of Signals, Royal Dragoon Guards, Royal Logistic Corps, Royal Artillery, Queens Dragoon Guards, The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry, Military Provost Staff, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, C (City of London Fusiliers) Company, the Army Physical Training Corps, Royal Army Medical Corps, Royal Army Dental Corps (RADC), The Blues and Royals and The Life Guards.

Finally, I added some cat litter that had been ground using a pestle and mortar, followed by patches of cat litter "dust" made by grinding even finer. This is just to give some texture to the base: I'll be adding pigments to the jeep and figures after I've painted the dio when I know exactly what colour the surface is going to turn out to be.Despite years of wittering on here my build completion rate is abysmal, but I do like doing a few pics. OK, enough of my previous mishaps and onto this one! I wanted to make this base a bit more 3 dimensional so Dale kindly lent me his filler (Poly Filler). I tend to use the same size cases for my 1/48 scale vehicles, as supplied by Justbases.co.uk. These are the perfect size, cheap and usually supplied with a MDF base. One of the guys at work made me a load of wooden bases for them from a bit of mahogany supplied by new member Malcolm. Cheers. Can I ask if i may, is modelling big in India?, should i rather say , is it a common hobby? Are there established model shops? The 1st layer was done using a 50:50 mix of the top coat - Vallejo Sand Yellow (70.916) and white (70.951). For the 2nd layer, meant to represent the bare metal, I used German Panzer Grey (74.643). In hindsight, I should have mixed some steel with this, for a slightly more metallic finish. It looks better in the photos than in real life. One more question, do you know if anyone makes decals of the rank, unit patches, jump wings, etc. in 1/18 scale?

Work and other commitments kept me away from the bench for far too long, but I managed to grab a few hours here and there and thought I'd get the figures done, and work on detailing some of the boxes, cans and other bumflufferies. Weren't the Jeeps aluminium-bodied as well? Even euro ones shouldn't have been rusty.Jeep was all-steel construction for chassis and body. A friend recently rebuilt a 1946 CJ2a, I thought it had more in common with an Austin 7 having a very shallow C-section chassis rails and tiny components compared with a Land-Rover. Well thats it, what you see here is where I am now and wont leave it for so long next time. If there is anyway that you folks think I can improve this work in progress like better pics, less or more waffle etc please let me know. Just a few update pics. Didn't realise I was so far behind on what Ive already sent. So hopefully I will send another post a bit later which will bring me up to date of where I am right at this momentI eventually ditched the kit M2 after trying several times to scratch build some of the poor quality detail bits, at least I tried. My eldest daughter kindly got me the MiniArt U.S. Machine Gun Set as an early fathers day present, bless her. This photo shows the mounting pins with chains, the large center pin nut, cradle base level adjustment bolt and optional holes, and the charging handle. Am planning a small vignette thing featuring the jeep and a couple of dudes taken from the Masterbox Allied Forces set:
