Listening to the book made me feel like I knew Stacey, her personality and how she spoke so freely throughout was incredible. The thing I like about Stacey is that she is just a genuine person, doesn’t pretend to be something else, doesn’t go hard on the promoting online etc. Whenever she recommends something it is so very clear that it’s because she loves it and wants to share with the world. The honesty she shows and how it’s perfectly okay if you feel a little overwhelmed and think “I’m just going to tidy this small area instead of putting too much on myself to tidy the whole thing”. I find it hard to sit still, but losing myself in a craft project or tidying a drawer is my form of meditation. It's a chance for me to forget about the things going on in the world around me for a minute,' says Stacey. 'I hope this book helps you to lose yourself for a moment, too – and that you enjoy reading it and even, maybe, having a go at some of the bits inside.' I find it hard to sit still, but losing myself in a craft project or tidying a drawer is my form of meditation. It's a chance for me to forget about the things going on in the world around me for a minute. And, if you take away the laundry bins upstairs it forces everybody to bring their dirty clothes down to the utility room.” After the washing comes out the machine, Stacey either puts it into the tumble dryer or hangs it up on a rail she has attached to her ceiling.

Craft projects include how to make a pumpkin flower pot, cladding walls, flower wall decorations, coconut shell bird feeder, a feature wall and LED rose light, to name just a few. After moving into their country home, Stacey has turned her attention to updating the house, showing her followers the details as she overhauled the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and even a cute Wendy house in the garden. A lovely little book, sometimes it came across as patronising but it would be a great gift for someone moving out for the first time. The Loose Women star said she bought three big swing bins which were designed for rubbish and decided to spray paint them pink for her utility room.

As previously stated each section is based on the time of day. As a result, Stacey tells us her daily routine. Now, this sounds like a great idea, however, in my head, I was a little all over the place. I did enjoy the drawing, and they were extremely pretty. In saying that, I missed actual pictures. I thought there would be at least one family picture or even step by step pictures of Stacey making her creations. Some helpful tips and some I will never do( I won’t Hoover 4 times a day ever! Nor will I get a junk trunk) but there are some good ideas in here, especially things to make with the kids. The recipes are literally all so delicious and I cannot wait to try them! I've told my kids we will make the breakfast bake at the weekend as it looks epic! Plus as someone who could ruin beans on toast, I like how simple the recipes are and easy to fit in with family life, top marks for that one 👍🏻

Hobbies

I think if you are a fan of Stacey Solomon then you will really feel her energy channelled through this book and into the room with you. If you're not specifically a fan/follower of hers then I think you'll appreciate all the hints, tips and ideas in the book anyway. We aren’t fully finished yet, these things take time and hard work but I’m so so proud of how far it’s come along. I’ve loved every single second of it. Cheesy as it sounds I’ve learned so much along the way and things I wished I’d know before I started, but most importantly doing as much as I could myself has given me the most strong sense of self & made me feel like I can achieve anything I put my mind to.

Tidying: Stacey Solomon shares her top tips for organising Tidying: Stacey Solomon shares her top tips for organising

She said: “It means there’s now a property system in my utility, rather than one overflowing basket that means you have to separate all your colours. I also think it would help neurodivergent people as the tips regarding tidying and the processes Stacey uses are explained very well. Discover Stacey's Tap to Tidy DIY Method - with steps on how to get started. Each chapter takes readers round a room in Stacey's dream home, and how she transformed each room herself. I recently got this book on audible and listened to it over two days. I loved everything about it. I had a couple of stressful days at work this week and it got me through my days and helped me switch off while working. It made me smile and laugh! I genuinely feel like I’ve just been having a right good chinwag with Stacey in my kitchen drinking a nice cuppa ☕️I have to admit, I started this book as a Stacey Solomon / Squash supporter and was a little disappointed initially. The ideology of what Stacey was saying just is not possible for all working parents with kids. She mentioned that she works Thursday and Fridays and on those days she was unable to do the special things she would otherwise do. One of the things I'll take away from this is Stacey's advice to not look at things in an overwhelming way. For example she says rather than saying "I'm going to clear this whole room" she says instead say "I'm going to clear this corner". Such a simple switch that will undoubtedly remove that overwhelming feeling when tidying. I also love the advice of taking everything out and laying it out on the floor to properly see what it is you have. We have so many drawers that are just filled with rubble and I guarantee some things in there have moved house with us 5 times and never been anywhere but the drawer! My weekend plans are to blitz those drawers and see what lies within..... I'm fully expecting a Nokia 3310 charger to be floating around and specific currency from countries who've had the euro for decades!! Stacey said the task has become a “bit of a game” for her sons who now separate their washing into the correct bins. Such a light hearted read. Really enjoyed this. So many good ideas for organising and crafting and loved reading it. Only taken me a day to get through it but was nice to take it easy and follow the book easily.
