As a result of the students never being seen again following their arrival at the temple, rumors circulated concerning their fates. Due to its dark history, the Temple of Airjitzu eventually became a tourist attraction. As you can see there is a mixture between the new striped bag design and the old one. I cannot see any particular reason why some are in one style and others are in another, so presumably LEGO are simply transitioning between the two. After Lloyd managed to break the ninja free, he, Kai, Zane, Cole, and Jay (who carried Nya) used Airjitzu to escape "The Hole." Under the influence of Dark Matter, Lloyd used Airjitzu to hop from the Destiny's Bounty onto the mainland.I am pleasantly surprised by the size of this set, particularly the central pagoda which really dominates the scenery. The architectural details look spectacular all over and I am pleased by the variation in colour between the buildings as shades of red, blue, green and tan all proliferate. This comes with 6 minifigures with assorted weapons. It measures over 12” long, and includes Kai’s motorbike as well as Nya’s detachable flyer! With just 756 pieces, it’s easy for kids to build.

As the largest Ninjago set ever released I think most people expected it to be a must-have for fans of the theme and they will not be disappointed. There are lots of references to particular moments from the show and some excellent minifigures, with the exclusive material in the instruction manual providing a nice bonus for the fans as well. I have to say that when I first saw photos of this set, it immediately evoked memories of 2009’s stunning Medieval Market Village– a set considered one of LEGO’s finest. Ninjago has become one of the most popular LEGO themes of the past decade, with a range of excellent sets which generally appeal to children and adults alike. The latest and largest of these is 70751 Temple of Airjitzu, a 2028-piece set recreating the Temple on Haunted Hill which appeared in season five of the TV show.

The top floor is furnished with bookshelves, a stool and an easel. All the necessary details have been included in this area, even a pot for washing out the paint brush included. I suspect children (and adults) will enjoy setting scenes with the minifigures as I certainly have! After I build a new Lego set I always have a few small pieces left. Did I forget to use them? Verified I expect the Misako minifigure will be a highlight for fans of the TV show as she is an important character and this is her first appearance in physical form. Just about every detail from the animated series has been recreated here with a new face, new torso and new colour for the hair piece. The figure itself is not particularly impressive when compared with the level of detail on some of the others but it’s great to finally be able to add the character to our collections. Re: the teapot. Without looking, I think that's the same mold as for CMF Genie's lamp. Unless you're not counting that as a set! When the ninja sought to enter the temple and claim the Scroll of Airjitzu, antics ensued as Yang tormented them. Despite gaining the scroll, the ninja dropped it on their way out, prompting Cole to retrieve it. Incidentally, he failed to escape the temple before sunrise and was transformed into a ghost. Several months later, when Nadakhan was recreating his home realm, he lifted Yang's temple into the sky. Yang confronted Nadakhan, who had the temple cleansed with water—forcing Yang and his students to leave. The temple was destroyed when Misfortune's Keep crashed into it, but after Jay made his final wish, recent events were undone and the temple was left unscathed. However, as a result of an anomaly in Nadakhan's time reversal, it was left floating in the sky.The set's minifigures include Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Nya, Wu, Misako, Dareth, Postman, Jesper and Claire.

I have to say that I am completely blown away by the scale and details of this set. It’s almost like a love letter from LEGO to Oriental and Japanese architecture. As Wu rested, he told Misako about Acronix's Time Punch and that it will age him one day every hour. After Cole became human once more, he and the other ninja decided to move into the newly renovated temple as their new dojo. After Wu's disappearance following the encounter with the Time Twins, they spent most of their time over the course of the next year searching for him and did not return to the temple due to the circumstances of the following adventures.
