Ten years ago Heather Vernon was found guilty of the brutal murder of her husband, Liam, an up and coming MP. Newly released on licence Heather is determined to discover who actually murdered her husband so that she can clear her name and be reunited with her sons. Heather is married to an MP called Liam and they have two young children together. Liam comes from a wealthy family, who cut all ties with Heather when she is convicted for Liams murder. Heather swears she didn’t do it, but the evidence is overwhelming, and it’s clear she’s the culprit. Apparently.

The Mother: The brand new up-all-night thriller from the

Things soon become more complicated for Heather as it becomes clear that someone out there will stop at nothing and go to extreme lengths to stop her from uncovering the truth. Alone and with only a couple of people willing to help her, Heather soon begins to wonder if she can trust the help around her and asks herself if she is better off going it alone. I’ve not watched any of his dramas so I’m certainly going to correct this and read more of his work. Why have I never before this? I have no idea except too many books little time. With a clever opening, your intrigue is hooked from the beginning. Switching between past and present as we see the events in Heather's past which lead up to her current situation of being in hiding as she attempts to find out the truth, the twists and revelations constantly add more to the story to keep the tension high. This book was the definition of unputdownable, I’m already a massive fan of the author’s writing but I kept finding myself stopping and re-reading certain sentences/conversational exchanges because they were just that good. The first chapter immediately piqued my interest and the story didn’t let up until the explosive ending.

Heather is an investable character, I just couldn’t help but root for her after reading the ins and outs of her wrongful conviction and subsequent 9 year stint in prison for the murder of her husband Liam. Heather’s journey from being released to trying to piece together what actually happened that horrific night all while being a mother who has been wrenched apart from her two sons for over a decade made for such a compelling story. Fast-paced and gripping, T.M. Logan has truly outdone himself with his newest masterpiece! I really enjoyed reading this latest book by T.M Logan,so well written with strong characters with an ending I didn't see coming. It's a good story, but I would have enjoyed it more if, throughout the investigations of the main character, to prove her innocence suspicions were cast to various individuals of her environment at the time of the murder! When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever. But Heather has never stopped proclaiming her innocence, she is determined to discover what happened that terrible evening - even if it costs her her own life…

The Curfew: The utterly gripping Sunday Times bestselling

Heather is out on parole for the murder of her husband. Yet she still proclaims her innocence. The mother is a tale of how far you would go to clear your name.My books have sold more than two million copies in the UK and have been translated into 22 other languages including French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Korean, German, Hungarian, Serbian, Romanian, Greek and Dutch. An irresistible new thriller . . . Logan has devised an intricate plot of shifting loyalties and duelling timelines, but the real triumph in The Mother is that fierce, flawed title character. She's a mother like no other. * A.J. Finn, International bestselling author of The Woman in the Window * The novel builds well, situations escalate, discoveries are made but wherein lies the truth? I can honestly say I do NOT see that coming as the twists and turns come rapidly towards the very unexpected end. The author sets the scene perfectly as Heather becomes increasingly frustrated of the distant Liam and his heavy work load, it gets to the point where she suspects that he might be having an affair - so there is potential for a motive... Difficult ( as always ) not to say too much and give things away but this is a domestic thriller with criminal and Government links that spans a decade or more and will as the blurb says ‘keep you reading all night’

His thrillers have sold more than two million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 countries around the world including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, South Korea, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, Romania and the Netherlands. T.M. Logan takes you an emotional rollercoaster with his latest unputdownable thriller. He just gets better and better' Heidi Perks I write the kind of books that I love to read – tense psychological thrillers in which bad things happen to regular people – and I’m inspired by writers such as Harlan Coben, Linwood Barclay, Tana French, Michael Connelly and Lee Child. My books explore themes of loyalty and betrayal, love and hate, trust, jealousy, secrets and revenge. It has it good moments of various revelations, but they weren't ones that kept you guessing or at edge as to what happens next!

About — T.M.Logan About — T.M.Logan

A heart-stopping, twisting, unmissable thrill-ride. The Mother kept me glued to my seat and guessing until the very end. No one does it better than T.M. Logan' Chris Whitaker This one gave me some The Firm vibes and I loved every minute of it. Getting caught was not an option and I enjoyed the way the author kept the pace steady. T.M. Logan is at the top of his game - The Mother is a propulsive novel of secrets, heartbreaking betrayal, and what lengths an individual goes to put 'family first'." - L V Matthews My early experiences of Tim Logan's books ended in varying degrees of disappointment. I found that they either flattered to deceive, or else they simply didn't live up to the amount of hype surrounding them. All of that changed when I read his excellent previous novel, "The Curfew" and this latest offering is again forcing me to re-evaluate my earlier impression of this author.TM Logan was born in Berkshire to an English father and a German mother. He studied at Queen Mary and Cardiff universities before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He currently works in communications and lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children.
