Your loyalties will change multiple times with a cast of unreliable narrators. Just when you take a breath, there is another jaw-dropping twist and the final one at the end that will leave your head spinning! A fast-paced twisty thriller with lots of drama and untrustworthy characters that have big personalities. I am actually pleasantly surprised by this one. I don't know what I expected with this thriller but it was so much more than it was. There truly are so many twists coming from all angles that you don't know what to believe. Nicely played Ms Stewart. I am so positively surprised by this one! I expected a popcorn thriller (not a bad thing) but this was so much more! I was really on the edge and trying to figure out what really happened. I did. have my suspicions and was partly right, but I was guessing for the longest time.

Mental health is an increasingly relevant and important subject in the classroom — and it extends to teacher wellbeing, as well. Kate Moxley’s A Guide to Mental Health for Early Years Educators: Putting Wellbeing at the Heart of Your Philosophy and Practice outlines how childcare educators can prioritize their mental health within a busy and demanding schedule. With a focus on self-empowerment and development, this book is an ideal resource for an often high-stress role. Daisy is a student of Elizabeth’s who notices that the young girl seems to be worried about something so she reaches out and tries to talk with her.

The Teacher" by Danielle Stewart, published by Bookouture, takes readers on a rollercoaster of twists and turns. As an educator myself, I found the premise intriguing, but there were aspects that left me questioning the credibility of the story.

As a general model of what should happen in schools, this book has it all. Drawing on the classical triumvirate of grammar (knowledge), dialectic (questioning and debate) and rhetoric (expression), Robinson offers a model of education he wishes to see for his daughter and that seeks to draw on the past to anticipate an uncertain future. Embedded Formative Assessment by Dylan Wiliam Educators spend most of the day with their young students, so they’re often the first to notice when students show signs of needing mental health support. However, to do so, teachers must be able to recognize the warning signs, from disruptive behaviour to students distancing themselves from others or the classroom. Elizabeth teaches English literature to high school seniors. When she sees that her car has been keyed, she is hesitant to report it because the principal is a miserable man who tends to punish all instead of searching out the guilty party. By keeping up-to-date with expert books and resources, teachers can keep learning, which improves their capabilities in the classroom. The key to professional development is to keep students’ wellbeing and experience at the forefront of all teaching and learning strategies. Additional resources for teachers from Taylor & Francis Meet Elizabeth, who has had a rough, traumatic life (you sympathize with her). She was left alone to protect and care for her little sister Jules at a young age, with an abusive father in jail most of the time and a mother in a mental hospital.Christina M. Rau is the author of the sci-fi fem poetry collection, Liberating The Astronauts (Aqueduct Press, 2017), and the chapbooks WakeBreatheMove (Finishing Line Press, 2015) and For The Girls, I (Dancing Girl Press, 2014). In her non-writing life, she teaches yoga occasionally and line dances on other occasions. Teaching is complex. But there are simple ideas we can enact to help our teaching be more effective. This book contains over 400 such ideas. So, your challenge is a big one. For any tip that is of interest, you need to ask yourself: what would I need to change to make this tip work for me, my situation and my students?

Each student brings their unique experience into the classroom and that should be celebrated — not criticized or ignored. No Outsiders: Everyone Different, Everyone Welcome: Preparing Children for Life in Modern Britain by Andrew Moffat emphasises this ethos of inclusion and tolerance. As a practising teacher, Moffat offers his firsthand experience supporting students and their differences. This book also includes handy lesson plans for classes from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6 to help guide fellow teachers. Daisy ends up admitting something about Elizabeth’s own child and Elizabeth’s life comes tumbling down around her. It took me awhile to get into this book, but once the twists start (and there are LOTS), it’s pretty hard to put this book down! I didn’t realize a huge rat was right under my nose, but was glad to see that justice finally prevails in the end.The story centers on Elizabeth Meadow, a teacher who sees herself as the 'cool' and 'edgy' educator. Her life takes a dark and unexpected turn when she stumbles upon a troubling secret involving her student, Daisy. The blurb might give away too much, robbing the story of the gradual suspense it should have built. However, Elizabeth will not stop until she learns more about Daisy. As things come to light, her husband wants to send her to Bayview for psychiatric help. They think she is being obsessive. However, does her husband have her best interest at heart? This was my second novel by this author and I could not wait to find out Elizabeth and Daisy’s story! What a situation to find yourself in, which way do you turn in something like this, do you follow your maternal instinct or do you believe your pupil?
