Peter has always loved telling stories. Growing up in New Jersey, he told stories by drawing whimsical characters and scenes from his imagination. Then, as a teenager, he fell in love with writing, and told his tales with words. While studying illustration at Art Center College of Design, Peter’s love of both words and pictures led him to take several courses on children’s books, and before long he knew he’d found his calling. This is my 10 year old's current favorite book series. She is now obsessed with robots, and it has inspired her to learn about robotics.

Hi Peter, Please make more books as we found out about the Wild Robot and then we found out about the Wild Robot Escapes. I really want more books about Roz. You make your books so exciting, amazing and perfect. You’ve taught me how birds fly in formation and that some (most) robots are really nice. My favourite character is Chit Chat because she is like me. I love squirrels and all they do. You make me feel happy, sad, dramatic, angry and all emotions. My favourite part is where Roz is with Brightbill. Its so sweet. Please make 4,5,6 more books!!From there we follow Roz and "her" humans and see Roz interact with the farm animals (who are quite surprised that this robot can speak the language of the animals, of course) as well as some wild ones nearby. She tells her story and thus reveals that she hasn't forgotten about her beginnings, about the friends and family there and that she misses them. Best of success with “The Wild Robot Escapes”. Stay well. It was wonderful to be readin’ about Roz again and seeing how she handles the new obstacles in her path. Unlike the first book that happens in the wild, this book finds Roz dealing with humans and farming and cities. As always she is gregarious, hard-working, thoughtful, compassionate, and fabulous. I adored her entire time working on the farm.

Since this is the second book about Roz, do you think there'll be a third? Or do you think the author intends this to be the last book? Did he tie up the story in a way that makes it feel like a satisfying ending?I just adored that everyone had heard the tales about the robot mother and the goose son. How every animal (well, most of them) tried to help her as soon as she revealed who she was. We have read the Dutch translation of your first book and both me, my husband and our daughter loved it. Unfortunately this book is not available in Dutch yet, but let’s hope it will come. Thanks for all the joy you have given us while reading this amazing book! Since Roz is just another thing for the people there, she gets refurbished and is sold cheaply to a family to work on their farm.
