This is a young adult book. It could even be suitable for preteens. It was a very easy read and the storyline could be followed while half asleep. It is definitely a romance. The plot is very obvious and you can tell what will happen within the first chapter of the book. It is one of those books you read because it is cute and light and easy. So the funny thing is that I didn't exactly know this book was the third book in a standalone series. I guessed so much as to see some of the other characters having their own main love stories in the previous books and I loved that they all appeared in this book too. I can't wait to read their stories and be still connected with this unique girl clique that is in for some major love stories along their high school times. :)

I couldn’t believe I was lying to a police officer, but I couldn’t exactly tell him the truth. My favorite song had come on the radio, and I’d stopped the car so I could belt out the lyrics and give the song the tribute it deserved. Unfortunately, I didn’t think Sheriff Daniels would agree. this series gave me a love/hate relationship with dual pov it was great knowing everything that was happening but it made me want to scream at the characters mostly I just love how sweet Ethan is and how much he cares for Hayley that he helps her with the plan even though it would mean losing Hayley to his brother. I am so glad that Hayley starts to realise what a jerk Owen is and see Ethan properly, as the cool musician with a sweet, caring side. We finally reached my street, and as we pulled up at the front of my house, I glanced up at the windows, scanning them for any prying eyes. I’d never been more eager to get out of a car in my life, but I didn’t want witnesses either. It was bad enough I had to tell my parents about my broken car; they didn’t need to see my shameful ride with the sheriff too. Thankfully, it seemed the coast was clear. I formed a large smile in response. I couldn’t just waltz right up to him and start interrogating him about his brother, so I tried a different tactic. “Looks like you’re the one who needs help. Do you want a hand with those bags?” I nodded toward the heavy luggage weighing down on his shoulders. Despite the size of the bags, he didn’t seem to be struggling with them.

There were a couple of parts of this book that I felt like needed more of a resolve, like Hayley’s relationship with her sister, but that didn’t deter me from loving this book. Nerdy boy finally getting the girl!! 💃🏽💃🏽 Thrilled about that one! The sweet guy wins in the end! Woohoo! I myself fell in love with the gorgeous dorky main character Ethan but was also a bit disappointed as their relationship was really strongly held in the PG-13 level. I mean why mention that Ethan has hidden abs under all his baggy clothes and is supposedly a heartthrob under all his covers, but not letting Hayley even see them herself- even by accident. ;) That part kind of confused me a little, but he so made up for it with his super sweet serenades for Hayley on and off stage. :) *dreamy sigh* Hayley Lawson had no chance of getting a date to prom. Thanks to a rumor gone wrong, the boys at school were all convinced she was only interested in dating college guys. She certainly wasn’t holding her breath waiting for someone to ask her to the big dance. His brother Ethan stood by the car with two large duffel bags hung over each of his shoulders. He was glaring in the direction of his house, but he didn’t immediately move toward it. It was hard to believe the guy could be Owen’s twin, as the two of them couldn’t have been more different.
