When I enjoyed the first chapter immensely, I knew this manga was something else. Rarely do I like a manga’s first chapter because it’s usually an introduction and not everything is clear. New characters, story, etc. However, Inoue delivered a gripping opening that will leave you wanting more. I know this is a long series so I'm sure it gets a lot better but I'm not so sure I'm invested enough in this. Like Slam Dunk, I must admit some fight scenes dragged on a little longer than they needed to and while I enjoyed Sasaki Kojiro’s arc, I was also desperate for it to end!
