The white boxes on the inside wall is simply hiding the cable entry point and a surge protector. The box itself has no circuitry or electronics. Cable splits feeding both cable boxes and cable modems come after this white box so no, you don't aneed more of them. My question is which one will work best?, is there any noticeable difference between 3.6db and 4.5db? Or are both splitters more or less equal in performance?

Hi, i need a 2 way splitter to split my signal, i know virgin use technetix but the issue is there are two types of this splitter (technetix) one of their 2 way splitters says 5-1000mhz and each output port is 3.6db, the other splitter says 5-1218mhz and each output port is 4.5db.
