YANBU. DD hasn't had nits for about six months thank goodness. Her last lot coincided with being friends with a delightful girl whose hair moved. Vosene are a bit different in that it's a shampoo that claims to repel the bugs and prevent your child catching them! Sounds good to us! I use that vosene shampoo with nit repellant and my DS has (thankfully) never had nits. I use the comb and conditioner too though and have never seen one. I am a product tester for this item. I used it on my eldest daughter's hair, and I also tested it on my own hair. (just to give it a thorough test). My hair feels really clean, and although I still need a seperate conditioner, the shampoo did leave it softer than my usual shampoo.

Who know's what will happen in 2013 when the PCTs cease to exist? A national scheme like Scotland would be nice! The Minor Ailments service will probably fall under Urgent Care, the budget for this will be held by the GPs or possibly the Foundation Trusts who are not known for their fondness for community pharmacy! Just as a side issue - Minor Ailments services are not available everywhere in England - they are services commissioned locally by PCTs. Not every PCT will commission, some will commission for the whole area or in the case of the town I live and work in you have to be registered with a GP and live in the most deprived area of the town. I thought the smell was fine, it reminds me of citronella (that you get in garden shops as an insect repellant), but not quite as strong. YANBU but not much you can do if the mum can't be bothered except tell your dcs not to touch heads with them!I'm in Scotland . Up here you just take the lousy child to,chemist and the give you the stuff...have to be registered with the children's minorn ailments scheme, not sure how it works down in England. We have been using the Vosene shampoo since April (when my 2 DC had their first and only bout of nits) and neither of them have had them since - am sure it is a coincidence but makes me feel better Dd4 (asd) had caught nits. I found it in time and it has been treated and cleared , and has not spread to any of the other children. Vosene Vosene Kids 3 in 1 conditioning shampoo has the added benefit of natural ingredients Tea Tree Oil and Lemon Eucalyptus that work to help prevent head lice, leaving your child with naturally healthy, head lice-free hair. Well we haven't had headlice so far so hard to tell if the repellant works but my oldest's best friend had them and so far she hasn't got them so maybe it does.

I'm all for using any shampoo if you feel that it will deter nits , as long as you continue to comb and conditioner.

Will you be claiming the VAT back?

But most of all, my head and hair feel really fresh and clean, almost like a cooled sensation (must be the tea tree oil), so I may use the shampoo myself, as well as using it on my children.
