Description

The rich iconography of the Wheel of Life can be interpreted on several levels. The six major sections represent the Six Realms. These realms can be understood as forms of existence, or states of mind, into which beings are born according to their karma. The realms also can be viewed as situations in life or even personality types—hungry ghosts are addicts; devas are privileged; hell beings have anger issues. The original concept of The Wheel of Life is attributed to the late Paul J. Meyer who founded the Success Motivation® Institute in 1960. Paul J. Meyer was a thought leader and coaching industry pioneer. He built many programs to help people achieve their goals, manage time and be a better leader. Over time Meyer's programs have travelled far and wide and have been translated into well over 20 languages. When we score our satisfaction levels against each of the wheel categories, this gives us a great snapshot of what is—and isn't—working for us in life. When you have labeled each part of the wheel, now it’s time to set priorities for your areas. Which area is the most important for you right now? Which one comes second? Which one third? Remember that you can customize the categories by simply giving them other names that feel more right for YOU and/or splitting an existing category into two or more. Additional Wheel of Life Areas

The visual representations above will show you which areas of your life require the most effort and attention at this moment. If you feel that you what more specific categories, you can either add additional categories or split existing ones into more narrow areas.

Coaching Tip: have your client print out the wheel of life assessment and fill it in with a pen, rather than complete an online version. Just being away from a screen will help clients have a better result. Overview

The Hell Realm is depicted as a place partly of fire and partly of ice. In the fiery part of the realm, Hell Beings (Narakas) are subjected to pain and torment. In the icy part, they are frozen. There are many versions of the Wheel of Life; they vary in the number and naming of segments and whether scoring is represented using a pie or a spider-web style. The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma” by Bessel van der Kolk: This book delves into the profound impact of trauma on our bodies and minds, providing insights into how traumatic memories are stored and experienced. It offers practical tools and techniques to help individuals identify triggers and effectively manage the emotions and feelings associated with trauma. This resource can empower the women in your workshop to heal and reclaim their lives. So, for many coaches including myself, the wheel of life assessment is a key tool in their coaching practice.Relationships will be working to enhance current friendships or gain more of them. This extends to other people in your life along with family and friends. For the most powerful results, the coach will then dig deeper into the client's answers using coaching questions to discover what specifically is getting in the way of a client's ease and happiness. Then the final step is to use the life wheel to brainstorm ideas and come up with an action plan. The wheel of life is a useful tool to help you assess the balance in your life. It visually shows the balance in your life on a pie chart. At a glance, you can see where you are content and in which areas you have room for improvement. This is often a reflection of where you focus your attention. The Wheel of Life exercise brings these discrepancies to your conscious mind. Challenge Your Beliefs
