No solo por saber como funciona el sistema, si no también en darte contexto a lo que estás viendo; me ayudó a entender los rangos de los maestros de la arena por ejemplo; y no fue en forma de un personaje exponiéndomelo; almenos no en forma de datos. Además estas pausas me ayudaron a procesar mejor el ritmo del Volumen 1, porque sin esas pausas era un no parar de momentos tensos. Tanto cambio de dibujante también entorpece el disfrute de la lectura, esto ya va por gustos personales, pero a mí es algo que molesta mucho y más cuando tienen estilos tan diferentes.Pues me lo he bebido cual tonk se bebe una duna. Quizá hasta el momento el planeta con un worldbuilding más “artificial” dentro del Cosmere, en plan que todo está minuciosamente organizado para que se den ciertas cosas en la fauna y la flora (quizá por la influencia de Autonomía). Sin embargo, esto no quita que todo esto esté MUY bien hecho. Me flipa cómo todo gira en torno al agua (o más bien a la escasez de agua): los animales, las plantas, los alimentos, el sistema de magia… todo son engranajes que encajan muy muy bien en este mundo. Solo decir que el diseño del planeta me ha parecido mucho mejor que el de Dune (libro del que mama directamente, como explica el autor en el prólogo). Recomiendo mucho Arena Blanca.

I thought this was pretty awesome. But why is it set in a desert. It always feels so Star Wars when something is set in a desert. Why not use a swamp? I know, they have to conserve their water. I get it. Additionally, I have a few other novellas that are more on the thriller/sci-fi side. These include the Legion series, as well as Perfect State and Snapshot. There’s a lot of material to go around!

Reading this after The Way of Kings was a mistake. The Way of King was so full of epicness that I was expecting the same from this. Unfortunately, White Sand would have to be my least favorite work of Sanderson.
