Description

Do you love to draw or write? Do you have your very own dragon stories to tell? In this official Wings of Fire journal, you'll design awesome characters, imagine new adventures, and forge YOUR fantasy world!

The second arc consists of five books: Moon Rising (2014), Winter Turning (2015), Escaping Peril (2015), Talons of Power (2016), and Darkness of Dragons (2017), respectively starring Moonwatcher, Winter, Peril, Turtle and Qibli as the protagonists. It takes place six months after the Dragonets of Destiny have successfully ended the War of SandWing Succession, beginning at the newly-founded intertribal school Jade Mountain Academy and eventually expanding elsewhere within Pyrrhia and developing the tribal coexistence. The books focus on the aforementioned five students, among others, as they are faced with a sinister new prophecy: the "Jade Mountain Prophecy", which forecasts untold destruction and the obliteration of the academy by an unknown force. It also features conflicts between the heroes and both old and new enemies, chronicling the protagonists' efforts to maintain and preserve peace by preventing the foretold destruction. [5] The Lost Continent Prophecy [ edit ] The mysterious NightWings keep everything hidden, from their home and their queen to their allegiance in the war. Now they've kidnapped their own dragonet of destiny, and Starflight is thrilled — and terrified — to finally meet the rest of his tribe. Peril has always been loyal. First, to Queen Scarlet, who used Peril's fatal firescales to kill countless dragons in her violent SkyWing arena. Now, Peril is loyal to Clay, the only dragonet who has ever been her friend. So when Scarlet threatens Jade Mountain Academy and everything that Clay cares about, Peril sets off to find her former queen, stop her and save the day, no matter what it takes.

In the mind of a NightWing dragonet, a thousand futures unfold — and almost all of them, she knows, lead to disaster and destruction. When Starflight is stolen by his own tribe, he hopes to at least discover some of the long-held NightWing secrets -- what magical powers they really have, who they're allied with in the war, and where they've been living all this time. So when she's offered a chance to trade everything for a new life, Peril has to decide who she's really loyal to … and whether her own scales might actually be worth saving. So when the dragonets seek shelter in the rain forest, Glory is devastated to find that the treetops are full of RainWings that nap all day and know nothing of the rest of Pyrrhia. Worst of all, they don't realize — or care — that RainWings are going missing from their beautiful forest. But Glory and the dragonets are determined to find the missing dragons, even if it drags the peaceful RainWing kingdom where they never wanted to be — into the middle of the war. But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when danger threatens one of their own, Clay and his friends may choose freedom over fate … leave the mountain they have inhabited for many years … and set the dragon world on a course that no one could have predicted.

Six-Claws is a happy and industrious SandWing, always working hard and loyally for his queen. So when the youngest SandWing princess, Blaze, wanders off during a sandstorm, Six-Claws doesn't think twice before trying to rescue her. But it turns out that loyalty isn't always enough to stay safe in the Sand Kingdom … Moonwatcher isn't sure how she feels about school, however. Hidden in the rainforest for most of her life, the young NightWing has an awful secret. She can read minds, and even see the future. Living in a cave with dozens of other dragons is noisy, exhausting — and dangerous. Spread your creative wings and soar in this official coloring book based on the bestselling Wings of Fire books! There's just one problem: a strangely persistent SeaWing, Turtle, insists on coming along, too. Turtle is worried about his friends, who left Jade Mountain Academy to search for Scarlet and haven't returned. Peril is worried that she might accidentally burn Turtle — or burn him on purpose for being so annoying — and frustrated that she keeps saying and doing the wrong things. She can't escape her firescales, and she can't escape her reputation as the deadliest dragon in Pyrrhia. The graphic novel adaptations of the #1 New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series continue to set the world on fire!Clay has lived his whole life under the mountain. The MudWing dragonet knows that war is raging between the dragon tribes in the world outside — a war that he and four other dragonets are destined to end, according to the mysterious Prophecy they've been taught. The five "chosen" dragonets were stolen from their homes while still in their eggs — and hidden away for years — all to fulfill the Prophecy. Known as Winglets, to date four short stories have been published; these peer into the lives and development of secondary characters (ex. Fierceteeth, Deathbringer, Six-Claws, Arctic, Foeslayer, Snowflake) who are featured in the main books/ Legends titles, by expanding upon untouched areas in the world of Wings of Fire and incorporating further character development. Originally published exclusively as e-book titles, the four stories - Prisoner (2015), Assassin (2015), Deserter (2016) and Runaway (2016) [6] - have since appeared several times in print: three titles appeared in the limited edition A Winglets Collection: The First Three Stories (2016), two in the also-limited Winglets Flip Book (2019), and most notably all four titles together in the widely-released The Winglets Quartet - The First Four Stories (2020) omnibus. [5] Graphic novel adaptation [ edit ] And under three full moons and the watchful eyes of his NightWing mother and IceWing father, the most powerful dragon Pyrhhia will ever know is clawing his way out of his egg. Darkstalker, the dragon who will change the world forever.

The first arc consists of five books: The Dragonet Prophecy (2012), The Lost Heir (2013), The Hidden Kingdom (2013), The Dark Secret (2013), and The Brightest Night (2014), respectively starring Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight and Sunny as the protagonists. It takes place twenty years into the War of SandWing Succession, a continent-wide war across most of Pyrrhia with roots in the mysterious death of Queen Oasis of the SandWings at the hands of three scavengers. With a focus on the "Dragonets of Destiny", five young dragons (the protagonists) hailed as peace-bringers within an enigmatic prophecy (the "Dragonet Prophecy") and believed capable of ending the war by choosing which of Queen Oasis' three daughters - Blaze, Blister, or Burn - should ascend to the throne, and in turn bring peace to the continent of Pyrrhia. [5] The Jade Mountain Prophecy [ edit ] Snowfall didn't expect to be queen of the IceWings at such a young age, but now that she is, she's going to be the best queen ever. All she has to do is keep her tribe within IceWing territory, where it's safe -- while keeping every other tribe out, where they belong. Blue the SilkWing is content. Life in his Hive is safe; he loves his family; he has enough to eat. And Pantala has been at peace for as long as he can remember — SilkWings and HiveWing live and work together in harmony, and because they stay vigilant, no one has seen a dangerous LeafWing in years. My first novel for teenagers was THIS MUST BE LOVE, which retells Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream in a modern-day high school, from the POV of the two heroines, Hermia and Helena.

The dragonets are coming...

So when the dragonets seek shelter in the rain forest, Glory is devastated to find that the treetops are full of RainWings that nap all day and know nothing of the rest of Pyrrhia. Worst of all, they don't realize -- or care -- that RainWings are going missing from their beautiful forest. But Glory and the dragonets are determined to find the missing dragons, even if it drags the peaceful RainWing kingdom where they never wanted to be -- into the middle of the war.

Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon-like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives. Winter Turning (graphic novel) is an upcoming comic adaptation of the seventh Wings of Fire book, Winter Turning that will be released on December 26th, 2023. [1] It will feature art by Mike Holmes. The book will be written from the point of view of Winter. Wren doesn't trust anyone. She swore off humans after her village tried to sacrifice her to the dragons. She only has one friend, a small, wonderful mountain dragon named Sky, and they don't need anyone else. Fiercetooth [sic], a NightWing obsessed with what could have — and should have — been. Deathbringer, desperate to prove himself as the next great NightWing assassin. Six-Claws, a loyal SandWing, who will soon find that loyalty comes with a price. Foeslayer the NightWing, a dragon in love turned kidnapper, and Prince Arctic of the IceWings, a runaway turned captive. None of these graphic novel adaptations have wowed me yet but I love the source material so I overall enjoy these!

Sunny has always taken the Dragonet Prophecy very seriously. If Pyrrhia's dragons need her, Clay, Tsunami, Glory, and Starflight to end the war, she's ready to try. She even has some good ideas how to do it, if anyone would listen to her. Qibli knows Darkstalker must be stopped. And he knows he could stop him — if he had magic. With even a sliver of the ancient dragon's all-powerful scroll, Qibli could rewrite history the right way: end war forever; make every dragon happy; perhaps even cast a very small spell so that everyone would like him … The foreigners are completely strange and, Snowfall is certain, utterly untrustworthy. But as she escorts the miserable new tribes out of her kingdom, Snowfall is forced to reconsider her plan. Maybe she can only keep her tribe safe … if she's willing to risk everything. For decades dragons have wondered how three small scavengers managed to kill Queen Oasis. Until now.
