The P-45 includes a USB-To-Host port; this can be connected to Mac computers, iOS devices and Windows PCs and will send and receive MIDI information once a connection is established. There are 10 instrument voices you can use on this digital piano, so you can get just the sound you want every time you play. The voices are: two grand pianos, two electric pianos, two pipe organs, strings, two harpsichords, and a vibraphone. This 88-key keyboard has something that many digital pianos, particularly those in this price range, don’t: eight octaves. This is a full-size piano, with a full eight octaves, which is going to let you play those really complex pieces.

When you reach the polyphony cap, the piano starts to drop the earliest played notes to free up memory for new notes, which in turn affects the quality and fullness of the sound. I would like to buy a piano and I am very beginner. I don’t want to waste my money and I don’t want to pay more so I couldn’t decided 🙂 Do you thing Roland F-10 is worth the price? The YamahaP45 also benefits from a compact design, making this keyboard ideal for permanent home use or transporting to school. Slim and stylish, with a depth of less than 30 cm, the P45 requires very little space and, at only 11.5 kg, it can be easily moved anywhere in your home or used for performance outside. Now, there is the P45B, which is the next incarnation of the P-35, with new features that may just make it even better than the popular P-35. The P 45B is smaller and even more portable than the P-35, and it has an upgraded, 64-note polyphony for awesome musical quality. It is the most affordable of the Yamaha P-series piano keyboards.

Each has its own characteristics. I like to use piano 1 for classical music and piano 2 for pop.For its fairly affordably price, you get a very decent digital piano with realistic piano sound and a full-size hammer-action keyboard, which mimics that of an acoustic piano. The P45 also has transpose function that will allow you to change the pitch of the keyboard in semitone steps. Thankfully you don't need a degree in Music Performance to operate the P45! The simplified front panel makes it easy for students to browse through sounds andadjust the volume. Completely hassle-free for any level of performer. The size of the piano allows you to place it on a table or any other flat surface, but you can always buy an optional X-type stand or the L85 furniture stand if you want the keyboard to be stationary. The biggest difference between these digital pianos is the 64-note polyphony. The P 35 only had only 32-note polyphony. Also, the P 45B has a much better sound quality than did the P35. Once you’ve connected the piano to your computer, you can use the keyboard as a MIDI controller and take advantage of various music software available out there ( GarageBand, FlowKey, Musescore, etc.) The P-45 is a great option to consider for a college student living in a dorm room who needs a compact piano alternative at an affordable price. The Yamaha P-45 is by far one of the best value 88-note Digital Pianos available for beginners learning to play keys.
