About this deal

Ideal for the player in pursuit of an extended range of sounds, the Zoom MS-70CDR Multi-Stomp Effects Pedal supplies a mighty selection of chorus, delays and reverb stylings, all within one efficient size. With everything from vintage to modernised characteristics to the sounds, get larger than life tone within the push of a button. On the whole, the effects are impressive, with the reverbs a real highlight - soundscapers will love Space Hole's modulation and Particle's mangled reverberations. Simply hold the footswitch down to instantly activate the built-in chromatic tuner, even in the middle of a performance. You can choose between a BYPASS mode that turns all the effects off and a MUTE mode that allows you to tune silently. If you'd far rather take a decidedly more analogue approach, there are several, interesting designs for 3D printed harnesses that can attach to the pedal, giving you more access to the smaller buttons on the MultiStomp, letting you navigate more of the pedal’s features using only your feet.

Three push-button knobs adjust onscreen parameters, while four cursor keys scroll through effects and add or remove them. You can chain up to six together and save them as one of 50 patches. Assigning a patch to a letter of the alphabet lets you to scroll through them using the footswitch.Whether you're a guitarist or a bass player, you can cut down the size of your pedalboard by adding an MS-70CDR. From a warm, vintage sound to a clear, modern tone, this one pedal can do it all. It offers 86 diverse options for shaping your sound. For ease of use, these are organized into the following categories: The onboard chromatic tuner supports a variety of standard guitar tunings—including drop tunings—and you can opt to either bypass all effects during tuning or to mute the outputs so that you can tune in silence. Last but not least, the MS-70CDR's Tap Tempo feature allows you to to set delay times and modulation effect frequencies in real time to the rhythm of the song you're playing.

I started out with this pedal for my synths, and it has been a great help understanding FX chains, and effects in general. But don't expect this little buddy to have the same quality output as a pedal multiple times the prices for a single effect. Our unique Tail function allows delay or reverb effects to fade away naturally, even through the next played phrase. For example, after playing a solo using a delay effect, even if you switch to a rhythm tone without delay, you'll continue to hear the sound of the solo delay fading away. It has much less processing power, and this power has to be shared over up to 6 effects. Compared to the original pedals it emulates it's often lower in bitrate producing a much more lo-fi sound (which some people want). This is especially noticeable in the reverb department, if you want long lush and clear tails it's probably better to buy a dedicated reverb pedal 3 times the price. However, the two downsides that all of these aforementioned options have in common, are: 1) a hefty price tag, and 2) a fairly large enclosure. This is where the cheap and tiny Zoom MultiStomp enters the chat. You get one of these units and replace all your individual time-based pedals for this handy little box... because they sound quite good [and the single sized box takes less realestate on your pedalboard]. Use the Tap Tempo feature to set the tempo in real time to the rhythm of the song you're playing. Tap Tempo can also be used to set delay times and modulation effect frequencies. There are expensive boutique pedals like those from Strymon and Eventide, there are great mid-price
