If some scratches are still visible, get the sandpaper, water, acrylic polish, and a fresh, clean cotton or microfiber cloth. Then, follow these steps: Take a good look at these mild scratches. If the scratches are only visible upon close inspection, sandpaper may not be necessary. Instead, use an abrasive acrylic polish (we recommend Novus No. 2) directly on the scratched area and apply consistent, moderate pressure to a clean, soft rag. Move it in a circular motion until you can’t see the scratches. This could take a few minutes, so don’t panic if the scratches don’t disappear immediately.
