As it dries to the mid, I get why people say Sauvage, but it’s no where near the same thing, nor is it trying to be. It is NOT an “impersonator”. It’s not dressing exactly like Elvis in Las Vegas. It’s more like someone is wearing “an authentic jersey”. Does that make sense? You can tell when someone is impersonating someone, and you can tell when someone is just wearing a jersey. The impersonator is TRYING to be exact, to the tee. The jersey wearer just likes the player, proudly wears it in support, and people know who the player is. When I say “authentic” to describe the jersey, I mean it’s the real deal. That’s what I get here.Citrusy fragrances are often better suited to the summer months, while those with musky notes are more suitable for fall. Take some time to work out which one would make the best investment. Price It is very loud from the start, and I like the opening. It’s a sweeter, kind of fruity (yes it is synthetic) opening. I don’t think it smells like pineapple though. It also doesn’t give that lemon-pledge/bug spray vibe that CDNIM EDT gives off; nor is it quite as obnoxious. Don’t get me wrong, people that find ambroxan annoying or headache inducing will still despise you for wearing this near them. This one is just not as rough and screechy as CDNIM EDT. Patchouli makes the cologne smell like the earth right after a rainstorm, and it’s earthy and musky. The cedar wood is going to smell familiar, like Christmas and new wooden pencils. Labdanum is just like ambroxan in its complexity, adding amber, animalic, sweet, fruity, woody, ambergris, dry musk, or leathery notes to Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir by Armaf. Armaf Club de Nuit Urban Elixir – The bottle Also, throughout the performance, I get a smokey feeling vibe. More like CDNIM LE, not Aventus. I detect it throughout, and as it dries down, it becomes more and more prominent. In the final drydown, it’s the smokey note, coupled with the sweeter Sauvage EDP note I get off my skin until the end. The name of the perfume is etched on the bottle in white, making for a beautiful stark contrast. Much like how you’ll stand out when you wear Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir!

Now performance wise, as usual, Armaf is no slouch. Projection is LOUD, and it’s almost risqué to wear. If you overshoot, you will kill someone. (-true story-). It will easily fill the room, and everyone will know you are the perpetrator. They will also know that you were there 20 minutes after you’ve left. Longevity is an easy 8-10 hours as well.Otherwise, 90% of this scent is Sauvage-typical: the pink pepper is prominent, but a bit more subdued. Ambroxan is present to the sufficiency and provides the "Blue Fragrance" vibe. Patchouli, amber and lavender in the drydown is what I like at the Sauvage so much and this mix works just as well here. For the wearer himself or someone who sniffs it a little more often, a few subtle differences are noticeable. I get why people are saying this is a Sauvage clone, but I don’t get Aventus vibes.
